I wish to complain strongly about the obvious bias of Yahoo's news articles.
I studied Journalism at university and I have to say the standard of journalistic standards adhered to by Yahoo is substandard, and actively harmful to the well-being of society. Too often, one-sided opinion pieces are promoted, with no option for user comments. User comments (uncensored) are the true voice of the public, and a vital counterpoint to any biased article, offering readers the opportunity to see both sides of an issue and make their own mind up. There is a clear anti-UK, anti-US bias to the op-ed pieces Yahoo chooses to prioritise. Real journalism would strive to provide both sides to a story, like the news aggregator Real Clear Politics does. I don't understand how it "improves the user experience" denying Yahoo users the opportunity to comment on the one-sided and often misleading stories they are force-fed, against their will and without their consent. To sort this out, firstly re-allow uncensored, unfiltered comments in order that people can set the record straight should they read anything misleading. Secondly be much more careful to ensure both sides of all issues are given equal weighting. It doesn't matter what you think as a company, that's not your role. You are an email provider who should remain politically neutral.
