Freedom of Speech
Do not remove the comments section, everyone is entitled to their view, whether you agree to it or not. By taking away this element you become the worst kind of leadership, a dictatorship, by removing everyone's right to have their OWN thoughts and/or beliefs.

Return comments to your stories.
Sometimes reader comments might not fit your political views but free speech and political diversity should be important to any serious outlet for news. Anything else is just feeding fake news and pushing a biased agenda.

Your anti-Trump bias is grotesquely obvious.
Try reporting news in a balanced fair and just approach. Remember what you were taught in Journalism 101? Yeah, apply that. That would be a good start.

Your closure of comments has coincided with a increase in left wing media bias that is far removed from public opinion.
Some examples: the coverage of the Conservative party and Boris in particular, your coverage of the BLM riots (or lack thereof), your coverage of fake news climate change articles, etc.

So Nigel Farage was right, then. Let the people comment!!
Cowardly capitulation by Yahoo to the WOKE idiocy ruining people's lives around the world. Bring back common sense, logic and comments.

WHY HAVE YOU REMOVED THE FACILITY TO MAKE COMMENTS ON ITEMS
Are you afraid of the comments, is that why you have removed the facility to provide feedback to any of the items posted.
You are posting items about the recent USA presidential election that are materially un-truthful yet dont give anyone the right to make comments.
That is a serious form of censorship

Temporary suspension of reader comments
Your 'temporary' suspension of comments seems to be dragging on. How long is this going to last for?

Please stop your news feed to me!
I want to boycott your biased, fake and adverse news.
How can I avoid seeing the news feed that you are suggesting to me?
I have had enough of it!258th ranked -
Why are you so leftist biased against President Trump? You have never carried any positive news about Trump, why?
You are supposed not to be partisan, why are you all partisan. You and CNN are the perfect twin failed journalism

I wish to complain strongly about the obvious bias of Yahoo's news articles.
I studied Journalism at university and I have to say the standard of journalistic standards adhered to by Yahoo is substandard, and actively harmful to the well-being of society. Too often, one-sided opinion pieces are promoted, with no option for user comments. User comments (uncensored) are the true voice of the public, and a vital counterpoint to any biased article, offering readers the opportunity to see both sides of an issue and make their own mind up. There is a clear anti-UK, anti-US bias to the op-ed pieces Yahoo chooses to prioritise. Real journalism would strive to provide both sides…

"Not Interested" in a particular news source
You gave us the option to be "Not Interested" in a particular news source, which is a great idea to help tailor a user's experience, but then when we click that option you then show us even more stories from that news source! Why not actually show FEWER stories, rather than do the opposite?

With regard to article commenting being suspended temporarily, what length of time constitutes "temporarily"; 6 months, 12 months, 3 years???
Restore article commenting.

Is there any proof reading?
I'm noticing more and more errors in the articles you publish. Spellings, incomplete sentences and now the Queen is leaving Buckingham Palace to go to Buckingham Palace? What on earth are we to make of this? Does somebody proof read these before they are published?

Freedom of speech & rights to comment on media & celebrity statements
To allow freedom of speech to certain sectors of society (media and celebrity) and to deny those rights to the general public is a step in the wrong direction and shows a lack of transparency.
Your actions are distasteful and need urgent review.
The last serious case of censorship happened in the 30s and early 40s in a european country.
Our previous generations did not fight for our freedoms to have similar censorships being imposed on this country today.
Please review your decision to withdraw the right of free speech on your platform.
Thank you

National coverage
Why is the news, particularly that on Covid-19 solely about what is happening in England? The UK is composed of 4 countries, not 1.

Who is Marcon? Title of today's headlines.
Gross spelling mistake. Marcon instead of Macron on the UK portal. Very Unprofessional.

Reinstate the viewers comments section!
Please, please, can you kindly return the readers' comments section in your news column? We can forgive the fact that the poorly edited articles are obviously not proof-read and are compiled by what would seem to be illiterate infants, but the readers' comments are what we come to read, laugh at and exchange views with!
