I would appreciate having MY location on my screen!
I have not cleared my cookies, Yahoo does not ask if the location is correct, Yahoo does not use my selected "favorites"... I'd rather have nothing over having the WRONG LOCATION!! From the looks of all the other "suggestions" on how to improve the weather, this suggestion will do no good! Ugh...

Why is this not getting attention from Yahoo??? Whats the point of a forum feedback if nothing happens??

Once again, Yahoo/Weather Channel HAD FIXED this feature a while ago (May, 2021), and IT WORKED FINE! Then about a week ago, it is back to displaying some far-away location as the default, daily, and we, as user, MUST DETECT MY LOCATION upon each restart of My Yahoo! The Weather Module seems to reset itself, and does not 'listen' to Windows 10 Settings, which is where the 'Detect My Location' is captured for ALL APPS! Hey, Oath/Yahoo/Weather Channel technicians, YOU FIXED THIS ONCE, please look at your notes, and FIX IT AGAIN! You can do this!

This feature had been fixed about two months ago (i.e., approximately 3/1/2021), and was working just fine, UNTIL the beginning of this month (i.e., 5/1/2021). Now the Weather Module of My Yahoo defaults to "Clackamas, OR", not where the "Detect My Location" points to. It must be corrected manually upon each refresh. I wonder if anyone is keeping track of the changes that are being made to the Yahoo software, and whether anyone on that team is reading any of these comments. It is baffling to think that this can not be corrected, permanently!

Yahoo/Oath technicians have been tinkering with their new weather provider and modules for two years, and still cannot get things right! The local weather for me defaults to somewhere in another county, all of the saved places do not display any weather until they are individually opened, and if I adjust the local weather location by using "Detect my location", it does not stick, and must be reset every time the My Yahoo page is refreshed! Absurd! The staff's attention to detail (and hundreds of related comments) is clearly not being reviewed by supervisors responsible for quality control of the Yahoo products. Maybe someday... But how many users will remain?

WHEN is the app going to be FIXED. All I ever see is "gathering feedback" It has been broken for months. Enough feedback, just give the people what they want and need, Weather that is for THEIR neighborhood and not for a the whole state or even for some god forsaken city hundreds of miles away!! Stop gathering and start FIXING!!!!

I can set my current city as an additional site. But it still shows my default current location as my entire state of California. And the weather is constantly about 30 degrees warmer than my actual location. Why does it pick up the state and not my entered zip code?

This issue of wrong locations has been happening on and off for quite awhile now and maybe, just maybe it's not Yahoo that keeps messing up. Maybe it's The Weather Channels issue. So maybe it's time for Yahoo to break ties with them and look into a different weather service. One that can actually let people know the weather for their neighborhood and NOT a generalization for the whole state. That is what I am getting now. Weather based on my entire state!

Please fix this app--AGAIN. This is not the first time this has happened but you have me living in a city 75 miles N.E. of where I actually live. A city that is on a lake, surrounded by water, with lake breezes which brings with it a completely different weather zone. How does that relate to my actual residence, which is many miles inland. Please fix it once and for all and then stop trying to improve it because all you do is mess it up again.

Same here, Yahoo assumes I am in Las Vegas instead of 300 miles south where I am actually located. They don't give a way to permanently override their broken geoiplocation, I am so close to never using yahoo again, and they wonder why they are fading from relevance

The Weather App is, and has been broken for months. My pre-existing locations (7 or 8) disappeared. Attempting to add them back has repeatedly failed. Clicking the 'Star' as instructed to add locations has NO effect. This is not rocket science folks, try using the app yourself and try adding locations and you'll see the frustration numerous users experience every day. You don't need an extensive list of what's wrong, or what steps we have taken to correct the situation - we are customers, not developers or trouble shooters! The app simply does not work correctly, and/or it is bad in its current state. Fix it or ditc

no matter how many times I put my correct location, it keeps putting some unknown place as my current location. Once in a while my correct one will be on for a day or so, then it's gone again. If you can get it right for a day of two why can't you KEEP it on ?

I have a desk top computer. It sets on a desk in my home. I know where I am at, I don't need the app to find my location. I got tired of trying to fix this myself and just had my location (town) in the list that I provided. Now it has my location 250 miles away and will not let me have my town in my list. Does anyone at Yahoo care that so many are unhappy with this?

I was always able to see the location of my home town and state on the Yahoo homepage until today, 2/22.19. Now all I can see is the state, I have to manually change the location and add my zip code or city & state to get the current weather forecast. What"s happened? Unhappy with the way Yahoo randomly makes changes to it's homepage and expects users to accept it.
