    CANADA MY YAHOO (our old favorite Classic page) is being discontinued by 3/24. The end is nigh! If you want to save the Classic My Yahoo now is the time to let Yahoo know - in droves and droves and droves. Seriously. Do not wait. Let your voice be heard now!

    I posted something under "Bye-bye My" about trying alternatives (because Yahoo just ain't listening.)
    Please consider posting there too, if you are trying a new alternative. So far, I am liking the one I'm trying, especially because I can see my Yahoo Mail right there. . (I'm pasting this msg under some of the posts saying they're leaving/have left MyYahoo. Feedback from anyone trying something new, will help the rest of us.)

    What evidence is there that anyone from Yahoo actually reads any of these comments?
    My sense is that they don't care.
    Yahoo doesn't even have the decency to repsond to their users that are complaining.
    It really is time to leave the site because they don't really seem to care.

    Baloney on the comment from Bob Guth. For me, the weather app continues to display the city where my ISP is located. I am not allowed to set a default of WHERE I ACTUALLY AM. Yahoo hasn't fixed anything.

    Apparently they do look at these comments. I complained in this forum a few days back that my weather app would not automatically display the city I live in. It was always showing some town around here.

    Well, yesterday it began to show my city and has been consistant ever since. Thank you Yahoo for correcting the problem.

    Very, very disappointed in the New My Yahoo! It doesn't allow me to make it into "MY" Yahoo like the Classic version did. In this case, old is better!

    REPLACEMENT SITE for MY YAHOO

    I've been playing around with Protopage.

    It has been adding everything I wanted. I've completely recreated MY YAHOO page in this free dashboard. It looks almost exactly like my old Yahoo page after spending about 20 minutes in it. I'm just now adding all my content into it. Very easy and fast!

    So far it's been pulling in every source I have on My Yahoo....and I've been able to pull in radar weather maps and other custom pages in portals. VERY COOL!!! Here is a weather map to try in Protopage.

    You can caputure a part of a web page and show it through a portal and you have control over your colors!!! EXCELLENT.

    google here I come. The calendar doesn't work, the investment column doesn't work, the e-mail on the front page doesn't work, the e-mail page doesn't work. I'll probably keep the e-mail account because it's too difficult to notify or change. Too bad. You used to be so good.
    It's not the change I object to. Change is normal. But you've lost so many good features and thus far I can't see what was gained. good bye

    Yahoo has been taking comments down from this site. I guess when the negative comments reach a certain critical mass, the geeks remove them. In one case they appear to have removed an entire subject (that had reached over 100 comments and over 2,000 votes). Crikey.

    FORCED MIGRATION ON JANUARY 31st.

    Yahoo told me this morning that whether I like it or not they are forcing the New My Yahoo on me on January 31st. "You don't have to do anything," they said. "We'll take care of it for you." NO. NO. NO.

    We have to band together know and forcefully tell Yahoo that we want to keep the Classic My Yahoo. Do it now, or forever hold your peace. Push has come to shove.
