I really could not care any less than I do about celebrity, lifestyle, or style/fashion articles. I don't want to peruse them. I have on interest in them. Yet some days they dominate my newsfeed. I really do not understand what Yahoo hoped to accomplish by eliminating the personal customization of our newsfeeds.

Could be its because of the "youth" they employ. The "young generation".
Future of tomorrow. Taking their opinions and ideas.
If they are into social media / celebrity trash doesn't mean the intelligent folks are also into it. -
Doc Adviser commented
Yes. Fully agree. Too much of cheap trash.

Doc Adviser commented
So do I. Too much cheap trash. But it is a bait to click for the gullible salivating and generate clicks.
Money, money, money....That's all that MATTERS nowadays ( Profits ).... Sad.... -

Yahoo, just give us a content filter tool that we can enter words/ names into to stop that content from appearing. It would do the viewer well, as it would block the content about said disgusting celebrities, but it would also give Yahoo feedback as to what topics are no longer interesting to users, information that Yahoo could then sell to their upstream providers. If the upstream providers get the message that ___ is no longer interesting to your readers, it will slow down the publicity machine that pushes this ****. A content filter tool would be a win-win for both Yahoo users and Yahoo marketing.

Get the cheap garbage out of my homepage. I don't need to see which 50 year old movie star is wearing a Bikini to the beach that particular day, or which **** slept with someone's husband last week. Clean up your act!

the guy on the phone said the comment can be anonymous. Yahoo phone number is 1-800-305-7664 where the person on the phone after I was on hold for 29 minutes said that I can post an anonymous complaint

Please STOP posting the picture of Madonna age 61 that was on the yahoo on July 7 at 9:30 p.m. It is obscene. I am a mom and grandma and I do not go to R-rated movies. The picture should not be on the computer for any age to see while they are trying to read news or celebrity news. Please delete the picture. anonymous suze

Please stop posting about Billy Porter, Jeffrey Starr, or Johnathon VanNess. If you read the comments, you will see that 99.99999% of us are sick of seeing it and we think their life style is reprehensible. Pushing it down our throats continually doesn't change people's view over time, just makes them angry and tune out.

Every time this family ***** it becomes news and stays listed for weeks. How about we find something worthwhile to be concerned about?

Videos that start automatically, Kardashians ad nauseum, sexism, a system to lessen certain content, etc. Nothing has been fixed! What a farce! You guys are almost as good as the liars in DC! Prove me wrong! Put out a list of the user complaints that you have fixed. Then show us all the complaints that are still "gathering feedback" two to three years later! You ***** queens are pathetic!
