Monitor and Remove Comments!
It is high time you all at Yahoo, monitor the comment sections. It is absolutely appalling the amount of hateful speech that is allowed on your threads. If it were a few comments, I could understand, but I would guess at least 70% of comments show EXTREME and BLATANT biases on race, gender issues, political affiliations, etc.
And it is NOT ENOUGH for you to suggest to users to report the incidents themselves or ignore or block such comments. It is your responsibility to allow diversity of opinions and free speech, while unapologetically banning any kind of hate speech.
The racist ones are posted on a daily basis on almost every category of article, entertainment, politics, etc, and I am aware the current political climate in the U.S. can bring out such ugliness.
However, I have just witnessed comments on an article of a woman who mentioned being raped, and the fact that you, Yahoo, as a company, would allow such disgusting things to remain on your site.... says a lot about you. The fact that you do nothing, shows that these opinions are not just of the commenters, but of your company itself.
Needless to say I will no longer be using any of yahoo's services. I will now need new facebook an other accounts because I signed up with my yahoo email, but I really don't mind. I CANNOT support you in any way for allowing hate speech to be spread in your community unchecked.

This incidence of laxity in oversight of the comments is about as low as Yahoo has ever sunk, and that is saying something.

Why should I have to flag all of the filthy salacious comments about Gaetz and the Cuban boy? You people at Yahoo make me sick.
I disagree 100% we need more freedom not less freedom. Frankly, if you can't handle someone saying something you disagree with maybe the internet isn't your thing. Our founders were trying to protect speech that the many people didn't like ...not speech that everyone agreed with.

yeah... how about the exact opposite. Opposing ideas are of the upmost importance, also maybe these views aren't hateful and you are just misinterpreting them.
