Comments Removed
Yahoo Im disappointed and not surprised by the removal of comments. I get the fact yahoo is being basically extorted into removing the comment section and the liability involved
However, I also get the fact the real issue here is based on Yahoo's revenue and your advertisers leaving (extortion part), and nothing else.
And what's terrifying about this move, is we are seeing more and more corporations giving into socialist and facist ideologies and from that, the systematic shutdown of free speech and suppression of other opinions. That's the very fabric of America, our origins and what makes America great.
Yahoo comments were the only way people who believe in American values and free speech could express their opinions and to let the people decide what is good for them to read or not. Not yahoo.
It's unacceptable for Yahoo to do this and comments were the only reason I went to Yahoo in the first place, because Google has long been indoctrinated and corrupt.

Well since its about 100% guarantee they wont read this. What I hate about not having comments is the fact that not only Yahoo staff can basically use the medium for their own points of view of any agenda should they have one- but most of your Yahoo friendly celebs are able to do and say what ever they want to a reporter and their opinions and comments will be posted in the form of an article. We - the avg Joe- does not have that luxury of voice when it comes to posting anything in relationship to anything said on yahoo. Yahoo must realized that yes- we can choose to move on to another page and leave yahoo behind. Many of us have been a devoted Yahoo user since the beginning and you hate to leave some thing behind when it could easily be remedied but it would appear yahoo has no intention of reversing their decision to open comments. I get that bullying happens on line and feelings get hurt but that is the peril of posting your ideas, morals, points of view online for the world to agree or disagree with it. I would like to have the chance to voice my retort to some of the articles simply because they should have representation from both sides of the line. whether its political, religious or anything in between.
