It would appear that you've disabled comments because you don't want the flack as to WHY you disabled comments.
If you haven't noticed, people are getting good and ****** by being told what they can and can't do in areas that were once inviolate. By disabling the comments section, you aren't "protecting" anyone, which isn't your place to begin with. What you've done is make YOUR voice and YOUR agenda the ONLY one heard. And I promise you that people are searching far and wide for places that not only don't restrict views that may be contrary to their own but actually welcome the discussion. You can keep censoring people if you want to go the way of MySpace, folks.
