Rick Newman is part of the problem.
Newman thinks Biden should ignore the "40 million Americans" Newman calls "dead enders" that "want to exist on the political fringe." Ignoring the concerns of 40 million Americans is not going to solve anything and Newman knows this as he admits "alienation afflicts working-class whites" which is why Trump was elected in the first place. But it wasn't just "whites" Trump appealed to in 2016 and again in 2020 as more non-whites voted for him the second time around. Trump did more to improve the lives of people of all colors with his policies. Everyone knows this to be true except for people like Newman who are "clinging to illusions they prefer over reality".
