The Yahoo Homepage
I have been a Yahoo account holder since 1998. I've had MyYahoo since that same time. Yahoo has been my homepage at work since I was able to work legally and also had internet. During the last 18-24 months, I have noticed a few disturbing things about the articles on the homepage. One, every single day, there is usually an article written about Trump or from some other source about Trump and something he has done or something terrible about him. I was around for 9/11 and the subsequent tracking of Osama Bin Laden. I would have to say that your writers have written more terrible things about Trump than I ever read about Osama Bin Laden, a man who was responsible for 9/11. How is that possible? Is it because this is the age of 20 somethings that need the world to hear their angst? their every waking opinion? their every thought? I can assure you, the world will move on just fine without all of this. To me, this isn't reporting your writers are doing. It's venting. I never EVER saw any reports about Obama's deportation of 2.5 million illegals. I know why it wasn't written. Anything negative written about the black race will be viewed as racism, but if Trump does it, he hates immigrants. Your home page has become true fodder for me and mostly just what I take with a grain of salt. I don't know what qualifications are needed to be a writer at Yahoo, but it should be more than "I can post anything I want to my snapchat or IG". I can assure you the rest of the country who are able to calmly think and research do not hate Trump as much as you all do. I can think of a ton more politicians who are worse. I feel for you all cause having this much hate and thinking about one person 24/7, well, it can't be healthy. Start writing articles that are about the world and not just one man. One man didn't "control" this country. One man didn't invent racism. One man didn't invent hate. One man also won't save this country. Obama didn't. Trump didn't. Little fun fact, 350 million people are responsible for themselves and NO ONE is going to "save" them. If you need a safe space to understand that or need a hug, go get one. Look in the mirror as well. Trump was not perfect. Obama was not. Bush was not. NONE OF US ARE. It's called being human. And let's be honest, if you call Trump a worse person than Osama Bin Laden, then, well, you obviously don't know anything about history, people, or the world.
Do better Yahoo. Do better.
