Have some method to actually contact you to fix your ***** ups
There is a second account associated with my phone number. I don't know how someone created this account. I think it said it was created back in 2016. I have to assume this is one of those wonderful issues where Yahoo security completely failed and they just never bothered to actually clean up the mess. God knows what the person who made the account took.
It doesn't look like someone else has access to my account, but I want it off my phone number. Every change I make to my account also shows up there. I don't want to mess up my account by trying to change something on the other one that would ruin my account
I would like the option of just deleting that person entirely, so I don't have some backdoor just waiting to allow someone in. Unfortunately, Yahoo has absolutely no information whatsoever on how to do that and they want me to pay them to get help.
Why would I pay them when they don't seem to know anything about the existence of this problem. I should pay just to find out what I already know? What I already know being that, if I did bother to pay and got hold of someone, their answer would be I don't know, a resounding shrug, it doesn't sound like a problem and is there "anything else" I can help you with (as if they had actually done anything resembling help). In the end, I would have given them money and they would have given me absolutely nothing whatsoever in return.
This is the process that would make me feel less like providing suggestions about where things might be shoved.
- If none of the help stuff works, have an email to send a question to.
- If they determine from the email that the question is something they can help with for which they are not liable due to past egregious failures, but it is something a person has to help with, reply with, yes, we can help, just pay for the service.
- If they can't help, have the decency to do the I don't know and don't care act through email.
- If it is something they should fix due to past egregious failures, get it taken care of and avoid the inevitable class action lawsuit.
So there you go for a suggestion. Have a nice day.
