Why I am quitting Yahoo
I have been using Yahoo since I can remember; it's been my go to website and homepage for over three decades. I loved coming and seeing the different articles from various news sources and I enjoyed seeing the highlights and top searches. Recently, the major radical shift to news articles being to the left has made me feel isolated. I do not see myself for one or the other but I know I am not radical liberal or radical conservative and it's been frustrating watching this favored website favor only the radical liberal leaning views. It makes this website no longer fun to visit, if anything more hostile. Opinions and different opinions are necessary and needed in todays culture but it's important also to not isolate an entire moderate population that does not agree with these left leaning ideals being shoved down our throats. I do not enjoy being educated and more than that I do not enjoy seeing only one side. If you post one story about something at least try to be more moderate or look at both views. A really good and recent example can be the current situation between Israel / Palestinians. It's an obvious hot topic with a lot of views but Yahoo! has remained so blindly in support of Palestinians that it makes me think Yahoo! is the problem. It's important to reflect two views, examine and analyze properly the situation with conflict and depict both the challenges and unique opportunities for both sides. That's responsible media. Because both sides are being problematic and that's okay to admit, now it's important to look into why. But bluntly blaming only one side... It just makes me put Yahoo! into the joke column because with any situation there isn't one reason, one to blame, one context. And it's not just an issue with this but with many issues being reported the last few years. I realize the website is going with the " liberal shift" but the shift is a loud radical minority. And there is a huge moderate population that is bored by these antics and like me will quit Yahoo! for good. I realize this is long and probably no one will read this but I hope someone does because I loved and had fun coming to Yahoo! news every morning or whenever I am bored. To lose it makes me sad but I refuse to be frustrated by useless articles that convince no one but those who already agree with it.
