Why no news articles on dark-skinned Black people? Seems like good Ole’ US colorism going on here.
Why are there no articles on dark-skinned celebrities or even regular black people doing great things? There seems to be plenty on light-skinned black folks (which is good), but there are many positive also done by dark-skinned Black people in America. I don’t want to have to send articles from other platforms to my kids for them to see the all the great work dark-skinned Americans do. Is this a colorism issue? Representation matters to young minds and colorism grows in our society due non-representation of dark-skinned success stories in articles. Does anyone wonder why even some dark-skinned black successful celebrities bleach their beautiful skin to get lighter? I guess so maybe to get noticed enough for these kinds of platforms, in order to get them more exposure and more endorsements. No one deserves to go through that!
