stop charging for customer support
Charging a subscription for customer support is ridiculous. I changed my cell phone number and got a new phone unfortunately due to yahoos log in procedures I couldn't log into my account any other way besides text verification. The only option left was to call a premium service number which basically force me to buy a subscription to unlock my account. To be honest if I didn't have some important things connected to my yahoo email address I would have told yahoo to go to ****! Bad form Yahoo bad form.....maybe you should offer a free option to speak to someone! I will be removing myself asap from anything yahoo related

Absolutely messed up! Had my account for over 16 years, been logging into it on the same computer almost daily, and literally the same day I got a new phone number my account suddenly asked for a secondary verification. Now, I was entering in the correct email, correct password, using a known (over 10 years) device. It just wanted a secondary verification, which I could not do because I no longer had access to my old phone number. Contacted "customer support" had to send them my ID to verify I was me. No issues there... They COULD fix the problem, but ONLY if I paid for the $12.99 monthly Premium Customer Support Access. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! After a 30 min phone call, I am done with Yahoo, should have ditched it years ago. (That was my first problem) All because of a technicality and a new monthly subscription they are basically forcing me into if I want to regain access to my account. I can't even, I am still dumbfounded. You would think that an active email of 16+ years would mean something, most definitely not. Will never use Yahoo for anything again. I only made this account so I could comment on this stuff.
