"More states are requiring patients to give consent for medical students performing pelvic exams"
Why were my comments rejected as "violating community standards"? They did not. I provided some history and background about why performing pelvic exams on unconscious women is NOT "just another body part", including mentioning the history of sexism and racism in American medicine, and the sterilizing of women w/o consent, during other medical procedures. which I will note to you, but did not, in my comments, is still occurring against Mexican women in privatized holding centers at the border.
I suspect the words "sexism" and "racism" were the ticket for censorship, but these are intrinsic to the issue of the article, and why women may be angered by pelvics given w/o prior consent.
In any case, I'd like an explanation, and posting of my comment, which was information, respectful, and noted explicit reasons for the underlying concerns, beyond sexual intrusion in what is not, in fact, "just another body part" for women.
