I have enjoyed using Yahoo's homepage as a hub for news and sports for many years. Lately, though, I have been disappointed with some of the sports headlines and their accompanying photos, particularly those of The Sporting News. The headlines and photos are often misleading. After reading an article, I often discover that the headlines and photos aren't an accurate depiction of what's in the text. For example, in today's headlines there was a headline stating that the coach of the Dallas Mavericks was leaving for the Denver Nuggets. Accompanying the headline was a photo of Jason Kidd, the head coach of the Mavericks. This was a shock, so I clicked on the article. However, it was quickly apparent that it wasn't Jason Kidd who was leaving, but an assistant coach. This kind of thing has become more and more common, especially with The Sporting News. Unless their content improves to a level above simple click bait, they should not have the privilege of being on the Yahoo homepage.
