Unclosable Apple Ad
The fact that I cannot close that Apple ad is extremely annoying and has now officially pushed me away from Yahoo! permanently.

I agree, the ads are terrible. I hate the one right over the drop down to sign-out. I hate the ones that look like and e-mail up top. Then they all have to load first before your e-mail page gets settled. Yahoo is money fishing and we are all victims of there money making. I downloaded another browser and like it and may just switch out of Yahoo completely. They, Yahoo, broke many things that were not broken and one was the e-mail page. They also got rid of really good parlor games like Literati, Pyramids, and other good card games. s all about the money and when a company gets rid of Customer Service they basically are hanging themselves. Yahoo is sinking.

I agree, these ads are useless and annoying.
Do what I did (if you can): install ADBLOCK and not only will the ads be blocked, but so will the "articles" by answer.com.

I am done with Yahoo. I had an ad on here when I went to check the stats and it wouldn't go away. It wouldn't let me exit it off the screen or anything. Who does Yahoo think they are by not even giving an option. KEEP DOING IT YAHOO, YOU WILL GO DOWN EVENTUALLY. THIS GUY IS SWITCHING TO YAHOO PERMANENTLY FOR SEARCH FUNCTIONS. KEEP IT UP AND I WILL SWITCH MY YAHOO TO GMAIL!!!!!

The Eula is bad enough. Please get us back to the good old Yahoo home page that we like. Quit trying to force click on stupid ads, splash banners etc. Yes the technology is out there, but use it where it is needed, not on the home page. Looks like AOL now and you are acting like Microsoft or Facebook. You were a cut above, get there again please, we miss you.

Completely agree -- it seems to be focused on your Games -- I've eliminated all use of your Games, and the ads have stopped. It seems to me that allowing such intrusive ads (however much the advertiser might have paid for the privilege) is completely counter-productive. If any show up anywhere else on Yahoo, I'm off to another site for my home page and e-mail address, etc. I can't believe no-one else will have this reaction -- how attractive will your pages be for advertisers if lots of people leave.

Contact the advertiser and tell them you will not buy anything from them because of the ads.

Go to ad blocker and install the free software. I did it yesterday and it works. It was also nice reading different articles without those annoying ads popping up. It will also get rid of the add that appears in your inbox.

Almost annoying as the Apple banner ads that can't be deleted are the Capital One banner ads that keep coming back every time I open the main page, no matter how times I previously closed them. Please just dump the main page banner ad format. They take up too much "real estate", make downloads sluggish and are even more offensive if they can't be deleted.

Iobo, thanks for the suggestion, but for business purposes, I can't block out all my ads. And I SHOULD NOT have to install something into my computer so that someone else will leave it alone. No one should have to It is MY computer. Someone else doing something to slow the speed of MY computer is just WRONG! ! ! ! ! !

Those blasted ads across the top of the page that ***** up our Internet . . . it's time we all keep track of all those products and boycott them in protest, PLUS, campaign AGAINST anyone using those products. I am sick of them slowing my Internet!!! I, myself, will NEVER purchase anything in those ads!!!!

I have been a user of Yahoo! for several years. Today 07/14/2014, I noticed a reminder of concerts that are coming up this week. I CANNOT delete this ****. I do not listen to the artists that are listed and they are clogging up the Yahoo! Homepage. Thank you!
