Answers.com sponsored ads are loaded with viruses. I used to love Yahoo news, now I hate it.
Yahoo news is getting worse by the day. I understand Yahoo needs to turn more profits, but linking to sites like Answers.com is just going to **** people off, not line your pockets.

This stupid ad has been on my computer for 2 straight days. Why can't you have an AD that will close. I plan to go to Foxfire and Google. ********* Yahoo !!!

I am also tired of Yahoo disguising advertisements as News. Anything labeled Sponsored is a waste of time to read and takes way too long to load. And they intermingle them with News. Don't open anything with Sponsored in the title

I also, am tired of the top third of my Yahoo home page being taken up by someone's ad that I can not close.
Please stop doing this or make them so that I can close the ad. (Apple in particular, never have been a fan of their products)
I enjoy looking through the "News Items" but if needed I to will switch home page. -

Your apple ad seems to be done by execs with the same intelligence level as the Baltimore Orioles execs who are keeping the fans out of the ball park today---I believe Yahoo and the Orioles will pay dearly in the future for this kind of arrogance.

I heartily agree! I wouldn't be surprised to find that somebody feeling similar rage over an un-closable ad covering two-thirds of the screen used his/her programming skills to lock out the subpages like Sports and Finance in protect. Serves Yahoo right. I don't CARE how much money Apple paid to mess with your home page, it just makes regular viewers look for another site for news.

AMEN! Yahoo, you've overstepped your bounds. You've expressed NO respect for the consumer. I tired of fighting visual displays to get my news, email, etc. I'm changing to gmail or another source.

I can't stand apple and being forced to have that at the top of the screen with no option to close it is a breaking point. It either goes or I do. I will find another website and email service to use, please fix this obvious mistake. Thanks.

I'm changing my homepage. Yahoo has been my homepage for the last 10 yrs. The super large ad is annoying enough but when you can't close it or at least minimize it......wth!!

Yes, Yahoo needs to be able to show ads....I get that, but I should have the ability to CLOSE the ad once I've seen it. Not giving me that ability has left me no option but to discontinue using Yahoo as my home page. Look, I don't mind (well actually I do mind, but I understand their existance) advertisments; they are necessary in a commercial based economy. That said, having a 1/4 page of my home page taken up with an advertisment that I cannot "close" has taken Capitalism to a new level. Now the advertiser is in charge instead of the consumer - WRONG! If I want to buy an Apple product, I know where to go to do that.....but I don't want an Apple product, so you are advertising to the wrong gal here. I don't want an iPad, or iPhone or iWatch....what I DO want is the ability to turn OFF the ad and get back the top of my home page. After reading some of the comments here, I see that I'm not alone in my complaint. I normally wouldn't just follow the herd and threaten to quit using Yahoo....but in this case, you have left me no choice. CHOICE.....get it CHOICE!!!

I agree with everyone else here. If yahoo continues to put these full page ads that you can't close, I will move to Bing. I've been trying it out anyway after yahoo changed my homepage. Still like yahoo for the content, but I can live without it to avoid these ads.
