Answers.com sponsored ads are loaded with viruses. I used to love Yahoo news, now I hate it.
Yahoo news is getting worse by the day. I understand Yahoo needs to turn more profits, but linking to sites like Answers.com is just going to **** people off, not line your pockets.

Truth is, these comments are under review because Yahoo won't get around to dealing with them until the issue that caused us to speak up has already been replaced with a new annoying ad that can't be turned of. I don't know about the rest of you but I am pulling the last vestiges of my association with yahoo. I only use their email for gaming accounts anyway.
GMAIL You have me for 15 years. Don't ***** up. Take a look at Yahoo to see what NOT to do

Ads that can't be closed will soon chase me to another site to use as my home page.

Today did it Yahoo, I'm gone. Tired of the stupid Apple ad. I will never come back or buy from that company.

I guess I'll have to go to google until that stupid Apple add goes away. It's annoying and ridiculous!

Apple ad takes up half the screen with no way to close it. It is beyond frustrating.

I am frustrated with the Apple ad to the point that I will no longer use Yahoo as my homepage. Although I do not care for the alternatives, I refuse to be held captive to Apple !!

Having the whole top of the page covered with this ad is beyond annoying! And you have no way to close the ad! For this very reason I will NEVER by apple products.

I came here to voice my opinion on this exact problem when I found your post. I have come to except advertising as a norm, just to get my news, but, when the Apple Air ad appeared with no option to close it, I became particularly annoyed. Why is this ad more important than any other?
Half of the articles on yahoo now direct you to an "answers.com" page that is so full of advertising that even the fastest of computers on the fastest of internet connections can't even watch the article in its entirety without some kind of interruption. It's sickening and I am considering getting away from yahoo altogether. I've been a Yahoo follower since it began but I am losing hope every day. -

I already dislike Apple products, but now, seeing I am stuck having to watch a device from a company I can't stand with no way to turn it off, no choice in the matter, and feeling like my system has essentially been hijacked by both Apple and Yahoo is enough to make me question whether I will continue using Yahoo as my email provider and search engine. That Yahoo would allow this kind of bombardment of our systems, without options for the consumer speaks of poor taste on the part of Yahoo, and horrible judgment on the part of the advertising company. Keep in mind, if it wasn't for us signing up for Yahoo Email and search options, Yahoo would have no reason to exist. There are plenty of other, ad free, free email providers that do a lot better job of keeping our systems free of what is essentially sponsored ADWARE, I can think of one: GMAIL.

SICK OF WARREN BUFFET STORIES commented
the fact you (Yahoo) allow KNOWN FISHING AND MALWARE sites to advertise on your web site is basically saying drug use, prostitution, human trafficking, terrorism, genocide and all other evils in the world are fine because you allow those sites to continue stealing from your customers which pays for all those items listed. As I found in 10 minutes on your web site I got NINE different malware notices. seems most of your PAID ADS are from AA.qi a Chinese site known to fund cyber attacks.... YOUR LACK OF CONTROL allows this to continue. Time to leave yahoo it seems. Losers.

I also got a Virus once from this. This is totally unacceptable!! I'm currently looking to switch from Yahoo to something else because of it. It's so important to make $$$ that you let your readers get virus'?? That's pretty bad!

I've noticed the "sponsored" label on these advertisements has gone from red, to black to gray as well as getting smaller. Making it harder to read?

I wish they would take answers .com off the internet . I just got my computer out of the shop and it cost too much to have viruses on it.

Every 3rd news story is sponsored content, that is ridicules. So as of today I am ending whatever is left of my connection to Yahoo. You have "advertised" your way out of this users daily routine.
