Please remove Athlon Sports from your network
I actually enjoy Yahoo Sports. I really don't want to remove you from my Google Feed. I read plenty of articles on your site.
However, one of the sites that IS removed from my feed is Athlon Sports. They are a trash site that only ever reached my feed when they posted click bait articles. I can't say if every article they post is click bait, but only the click bait ones ever reach my feed.
Unfortunately, this cancer of a site is also fed through your network of sites posted under the yahoo sports name.
I assure you -- this company is of NO value and only serves to ruin your name. I am back and forth constantly on whether or not I want to block yahoo sports from my feed JUST to not have to see or support garbage Athlon Sports content anymore.
The latest article that was posted, in the wake of the Chiefs missing the playoffs for the first time in ages, and questions surrounding coach Andy Reid's job... "Chiefs Terminate Contract After Missing Playoffs" with a thumbnail of coach Andy Reid.
The article then goes on for several paragraphs, talking about Reid, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, star player Travis Kelce, another of the offensive coaches, basically everyone of note, and nothing about the actual subject of the "article".
Four paragraphs in to the story, after a number of ads have scrolled past, finally we get to the actual subject of the article, Tanner McAllister -- a player who no one has ever heard of before, who was signed to a short term practice squad deal a mere few weeks ago -- AFTER the team was out of playoff contention. He wasn't even on the ACTIVE squad at any point and never played a snap for the team!
This is egregious, unapologetic click bait of the highest order. Yahoo should have nothing to do with this trash. A cursory glance at their content can tell you the garbage that it is, so I have to believe Yahoo is well aware of the meaningless garbage being posted by this site, and turns a blind eye because they are bringing in clicks.
All I can ask is that you do better. Take some pride in the Yahoo name, and sever ties with this useless company. It's an embarrassment that they have lasted in partnership with Yahoo for this long and should be rectified immediately to save some level of face.
