Please reinsert the absolute unrealized gains and losses at the transaction level.
In the previous version, transactions would show the absolute amount of unrealized gains and losses which made trading decisions very easy. Now it only shows % gains and losses which makes it much more cumbersome.

Where are there instructions for converting to and using Portfolio 2.0??
I made the huge mistake of trying to switch over to Portfolio 2.0. I tried to use it by switching over my ETrade account for starters, only to discover I apparently have to manually fill everything in, including dates I purchased shares, how many and at what price. This would be extremely time-consuming as I own quite a number of stocks. How do I switch back, as now my daily holdings total is minus my ETrade account? Where are there instructions? This switch over would just take too long, unless there is something I don't understand -- and can't find…

Port 2.0 Auto Cash Management Should Use Transaction Date’s Exchange Rate for Cash Balance
In Portfolio 2.0 auto cash management, it appears that US dollar (USD) transactions within a Canadian dollar (CAD) portfolio are being recalculated using the current exchange rate for the portfolio’s cash balance, rather than the exchange rate at the time of the transaction. This approach leads to continuous fluctuations in the cash balance due to exchange rate volatility, even in the absence of new transactions. The result is that the cash balance can vary purely based on changes in the exchange rate over time.
Please help to fix it. Thanks

compare portfolio performance to index
compare portfolio performance to any chosen ticker.
For example portfolio performance vs S&P, vs Nasdaq 100, vs VT.
It would be even better to see the portfolio performance vs classic portfolios (all weather, golden butterfly, 80-20, etc -
New feature to report missing tickers
New feature to report missing tickers.
Some tickers are missing, and with even one missing the portfolio function loses value. I am currently forced to use two separate portfolio trackers. -
Realised gains also called profits (to be precise) from closed positions should be added to total gains.
Realised gains also called profits (to be precise) generated from closed positions (after completely exiting/ selling a particular stock) are not being added to total gains, as I can see the sum of only unrealised gain in open positions. and when I download the .csv file it has only open positions.

could not find this in there....
Why can I not re-order my 4 portfolios, in the same manner in which I can re-order stocks within each portfolio? Seems like this would be an easy upgrade, n'est-ce pas?

Portfolio V2 cash should show balances for each currency held.
Portfolio V2 allows you to deposit and withdraw cash by specifying the currency. However it only shows a balance in the portfolio currency setting, implying that it is doing conversions behind the scenes all the time. This is further exacerbated when receiving dividends which can come in multiple currencies as well.
As a Canadian investor I have holdings in both CAD and USD throughout my portfolio. I suspect this is quite common for many investors who operate in multiple markets.
If the balance for each currency type can be seen in the Total Cash section of Holdings, then it can…

Multiple improvements
1) I don't have holdings entered, so don't show me an empty holding summary.
2) I have streaming quotes off but it isn't being honored.
3) Show a condensed view of the portfolio.

With 2.0 Yahoo is collecting considerable confidential information. How much risk is there related to a data breech? What steps has Yahoo taken to protect the confidentiality of the user's personal information?

Keep Portfolio 1.0 in operation, your Port 2 is always inaccurate and I can't change it!
I appreciate that Portfolio 2 attempts to automatically track all aspects of my portfolio. But it is wrong in several places. For example, I have owned AAPL for 6 years but my portfolio shows only one dividend with no way to correct it. My cash balance is never correct. Port 1 let me change the cash balance to what my portfolio has. Port 2 started with the wrong amount so I have to calculate how much to add or subtract each month to make it add up. I have 9 monthly dividend payers in two different accounts, one account DRIPS…

unable to update cash in portfolio
The new portfolio holdings format does not allow me to update cash. I do NOT want to post cash "transactions", I want to overtype the cash "shares" shown in a "lot". Yahoo is not my primary record, just a handy high-level way to follow the market through the day. Please add an option to "Edit" a "lot" for cash holdings.

Portfolio 2.0 is a messy protracted view taking up too much screen space for expanded recaps.
The messiest and worst feature of Portfolio 2.0 is in the Expanded view. They inserted 3 lines of programming commands after each stock heading, that interrupt viewing the details of your stock. Worse yet, they insert those 3 lines after EVERY STOCK. The original view show the stock and details together, uninterrupted, and you could click somewhere else if you wanted to made/add changes. I want the original version back!

Portfolio 2.0 Not Good
Portfolio 2.0 is a clymonkuliclid. Definition: Another bright idea that no one asked for. As we say on the ranch, "Make it simple, stupid. There are 4 options when creating a new portfolio in 2.0. How about adding a 5th: I don't want Portfolio 2.0.
