How can we improve New Mail?

Would like to have a way of permanently blocking yahoo news videos from the email area. I realize this has been posted many times, but none of the requests show responses (or how to achieve this) yet all of them have been closed. I'm probably not the only person that this type of responsiveness (not) pushes to other email services.

    I came to read email; not to watch annoying news videos that I'm not interested in.

    How about yahoo let us opt out of these **** videos that they keep playing in mail and when a story is open.

    If you must impose the new format, at least give option to remove the default videos that pop in each time I open the mail.

    Get rid of annoying videos or give me the option to opt out in settings. I especially don't want to see the Prez's face plastered on my page.
