Leave the messages separate. Combining them together is creating more problems than it remedies.
I have recently been forced to migrate to the newer Yahoo mail which I have been avoiding to great extent. Anyway, now instead of separate emails informing me of this or that, I get a STRING of emails all together and it is difficult to tell which one I am supposed to be reading. It does not help with organisation. In fact, it makes it worse. If I want to combine messages together, I can create a folder and put the emails in there together myself.
