I am a paid user (and Yahoo! mail for 29 years!!). I heavily rely on filtering. You used to have "filter messages like this" as a right click menu option, and that has been removed in the new Yahoo! mail. It now takes several clicks through the Settings navigation, typing a filter name... PLEASE PLEASE add back auto filtering, it was awesome to do it in one click and critical for managing high volumes of email for paid users.
