Can't add gmail inbox that isn't a @gmail address
I have a gmail address that is a @alumni.school.edu account from my alma mater... but otherwise workse exactly like a gmaila ccount. Yahoo settings doesn't recognize it as a valid gmail account so I can't add it to my Mail, but I would really like to.

how do I stop on screen notifications
the on screen pop up notification of emails received is an annoying and unwanted event. I want to know how to stop it but could not find a relevant item in my settings

Ads in right margin keep appearing, even though I approved the change to Yahoo search many times.
Is there a way to keep the wide view version of the mail application on the web? I have approved the change to Yahoo as my default search engine, but the narrow view still keeps appearing! It's tedious and time consuming to constantly be clicking on the arrow to widen the view of the mail screen.

My 2 email addresses use to merge in the inbox. Is there a way activate that again manually or was it eliminated?

I set up a disposable email base name but I keep getting prompted to set up a new one. There are 8 disposable emails set up that work properly but I cannot add a new one because it looks like I have not set up the base name. But I did.
