Email Alias For Login Only
I would like to see users provided with an email alias for account login in only (i.e. a login that is only known to the user and not given out and cannot be used to receive emails) as an additional security feature, so that it would be impossible for hackers to try to attempt to login with the primary email address (e.g. from stolen email lists sold on the dark web). This is something that is possible with Outlook email.

"Mailboxes" setting tricks users with aliases, please fix this
In the Settings there is a section called "Mailboxes"
Within Mailboxes there is a section which says
"Email alias
Send and receive emails from a separate Yahoo email address."If you click on your email alias, there is an option to "Remove Alias."
Yahoo does not permit deletion of aliases.
Please remove this option from Settings, as it has no functionality.
Even better would be a single line which explains that Yahoo aliases cannot be deleted so that users don't waste time trying to figure out how to delete them.

The ads at the side and top of my email are in Dutch! I have no idea where it got the idea that I live in the Netherlands! How do I change my defaults to USA?

Tired of 2-step verification.
I'm so tired of every account I use forcing me to use a 2-step verification. I get what the companies are trying to do, but not everyone has their phone attached to their faces 24/7. I would be nice to be able to register personal devices like tablets, game consoles, etc. instead of constantly having to have my phone with me. Better yet, allow me to decide about 2 step verification!!!!

deleted emails
There needs to be a setting where I can choose or not choose to automatically delete trash and spam emails. I was looking for a specific email that was only sent to me within the last couple months, and I can't find it anywhere. I must've accidentally deleted it without realizing it, but now I'm unable to recover it due to your FORCED automatic delete. Support for image files embedded in signature file
Yahoo Mail used to support embedding image files in one's signature file. Support for this functionality was dropped by 2020, possibly earlier. It doesn't make sense to me that support for inclusion of either portrait photos or logo files was dropped. I'm suggsting that this functionality be restored.

why no preview on homepage anymore????????
why did you guys change it? i love the feature where you could go to the homepage and hover over the mail icon and it would dropdown an preview window and show what the first couple of emails you have but now its gone and i dont have the option anymore. i dont like click on the icon when i have 1 new mail everything without being able to preview it so i know if its worth my time this is all on the homepage not when you actually click on the envelope and bring up every single email there.…

Needs a search function to look for an address. Very difficult to search for an address to check if it is blocked or to unblock it, if you have a lot of filters.

Clear Out Spam Box when I Want
Why is there no option to delete all messages iin Spam folder at intervals of my choosing? I would set it to ONCE EVERY 12 HOURS considering the amount of spam I receive! This is a critical issuse for me since I have my Yahoo account IMAP'd to my Apple Mail on my computer and must manually empty the spam folder which causes a lot of problems. PLEASE LET ME SET MY OWN PREFERENCES FOR EMPTYING SPAM FOLDER! Thank you.

The limit of emails to block is 1000. I have used my limit of a 1000 email blocks and would like the limit to be raised higher. With the rise of spam emails now days, we need the option to BLOCK MORE emails. This would also help with the SPAM folder and Email folder from getting so large on a daily basis. -
Users must be able to view email address rather than display names
Provide option for users to view email address of sender and not display names. This way it will be very easy for us to identify sender as most spamsters mask their email address and display fake names. This will reduce the number of phishing attacks as most users will be able to identify the sender or atleast the domain names and avoid opening emails and clicking on email contents from unknown senders. It will take much less time to identify senders instead of hovering the mouse over their display names.

why can't I generate a password for outlook, or anything else
I am trying to set up my yahoo mail in outlook but it will not let me. When I try to generate a password your system tells me it's not available at this time. Where are your support services?
