Ability to Set Alerts For Incoming Email from Particular Sender
Sometimes we are expecting important emails.
It would be great to have a feature that allows us to set up special alerts for certain senders or saved contacts and/or including key words in subject line so that we don't have to continually check our inbox to see if the email was received.

Why do you insist on making Views open, taking valuable screen real estate? That is so Microsoft-like and frustratingly lame.

Apple Mail App Key Not Working As Directions State
The Apple Mail app-specific key does not work as the directions state. Direction need to be updated because they are not accurate for the current way Apple handles online accounts. And the app-specific key is not accepted as valid in the dialogue. Only the standard login password is accepted and then the problem still remains that the account shows that it is still . If this persists, I will delete my last remaining Yahoo account. Persistent ineptitude led to Yahoo’s downfall. Don’t let it completely finish it off.

It seems IMPOSSIBLE to keep this mail system talking to my Mac. I've had to create new account password (app password) on several occasions and it sometimes works for a couple of weeks, but even though it is the very same account and computer, it stops and reports a new unexpected login attempt which is BOGUS. It was me and I used the password you gave me. Very frustrating and annoying. WHY do I need to go through a 5-10 minute procedure almost every week to access mail through my Mac. I'm disgustede

Needy
I like it. Except, it's needy. "Look at this, look at that." "Try this, try that." It constantly wants something just to get attention. In the end the functionality is sacrificed. Let people discover things on their own.

Stop the ridiculous OVER verification!
You can improve the email by NOT requiring this ridiculous verification process EVERY time when I haven't logged in for a few days. I have two PCs that I log in with - one of them is Windows AND Linux. I'm tired of having to go through this procedure nearly every time I log in to my Yahoo mail.
Can you NOT tell by my IP address that I ALWAYS log in from the same location? How about you use THAT verification method instead.Sincerely, Chris J. Rodgers

NEVER delete newest mail first unless checked (box). Repeated (nervous twitch) of delete button will take new unread mail to trash
Change sequential deletion from newest first to oldest next.
AND require approval for deletions (not checked in check box) -

STOP SPINNING THE NEWS
My main complaint is not with the Yahoo mail, but with the Yahoo news that appears before I click on my mail. It is very biased!!!!!

You can't!!! Bring back the old Yahoo!!! I don't have to have you ask me if I want certain messages removed from Spam/Trash!!!
I don't need Yahoo to ask me if I want certain messages deleted permanently from my Spam/Trash, since I still like to glance through them in case there is anything in there that should be in my Inbox. This new thing is annoying! I can delete things myself and don't need someone else doing it for me!

Why is it sooo difficult to get help for a yahoo account?
Why is it so impossible to get help regarding your yahoo email account. All the help items just keep sending you back to the same articles over and over again. I just want to know if the email I received is legitimate?
