    Yahoo deactivates accounts that haven’t been signed into at least once in the last 12 months. Once the account has been deactivated it’s unlikely you can recover it. You can always sign up for a new Yahoo account, just keep in mind that your old Yahoo ID may not be available for you to use.

    how do i unlink two yahoo mailboxes? i have a personal and business on the same computer and i need to unlink them so no one can access my personal email account without a separate sign in as I was able to do prior. you sent me information to unlink a third party email, but these are two separate yahoo email account.

    If you’d like to remove the account, go to http://mail.yahoo.com from a desktop computer or laptop, click Settings-More Settings-Mailboxes, click on it and then ‘’Remove mailbox’’.

    You should be able to contact our support team by going to help.yahoo.com and click ‘’Contact us’’ from the left side menu.

  8. reappearing emails that I have blocked,and deleted

    I keep getting e-mails that I have blocked as spam,and set them to be deleted, appearing back in my inbox as new mail. How do I get these to stay blocked,and deleted,so they don't reappear?

    You can disable the security check via Yahoo Mail app > Settings > Security > toggle “App unlock”.

  12. Please provide an option to disable the "Most Popular Videos" screen on an empty inbox

    When my inbox is empty the "most popular videos" screen comes up in the new Yahoo email. It's so annoying! Please provide a way to disable this in settings. I've seen other comments along this same line and the comments section for these suggestions is closed. That's not fair, either! As you roll out the new Yahoo email, there needs to be a way to comment on others' suggestions. I really hate the Videos screen. Thanks for reading.

  13. sort sender

    Sorting by sender still not working despite following Yahoo advice re Conversations. I don't like conversation view so have never used it. However, when unable to sort by sender (ie it seems to link a couple together but then you scroll down and the same sender keeps appearing further down the list, so it's not really sorted), I followed the advice and turned it on then off but the sort still doesn't work. Is this something that the Mail Support team know about and are working on or is it never going to be fixed?

    Once you’ve disabled Conversations and are viewing a folder or list of emails in Yahoo Mail:

    Click Sort by date (which appears as the default sort method).
    Click Sender.
    Scroll through your sorted messages – they’ll automatically appear as you scroll down the list.
    Your messages will be sorted alphabetically in ascending order – senders beginning with a number or symbol appear before those that start with A-Z.

    Good to know: Your senders are sorted by their name in the emails they send you, not how their name appears in your Contacts list.

    To access your mailbox directly, type mail.yahoo.com in your browser and make sure to check the ‘’stay signed in’’ box. You can then save the page as a bookmark.

  16. Spam

    Yahoo should be able to automatically keep spam away when it has already been put into the spam box after being put in there & deleted. I have to clean out my regular e-mail on a daily basis of spam that seems to be able to seep through to my regular mailings that is legitimate. Then I go over to my spam file & have to keep deleting the same ones over & over, day in & day out. Please try to help eliminate the constant deletions of the ones I've already deleted.   17. Since you are internet email, you should be able to delete an email from any device, and thaat should delete that email from all devices

    Try to make Yahoo email, more like internet email. I had Yahoo on 3 devices, but got sick and tired of deleting SPAM email on all 3 devices. Why is yahoo email doesn't act like internet email, is pushing me over to gmail.

    You might want to set your accounts to use IMAP server settings, it allows 2-way syncing, which means everything you do remotely is reflected in your Yahoo Mail account no matter where or how you access it.   18. Unread / bug

    After opening an Unread message, the menu shows only 'Mark as read'...but by then it's supposed to be 'Mark as unread', otherwise can be hazard and user think the email is still Unread and forget an important email. Thanks.
