The old interface was better in many ways. It is harder to navigate between stocks now and lines do not all show up as configured (still).
- For several months the lines in the graphs when I add 3 simple moving averages do not always fully render. I could get around it by making the lines really thick.... annoying. New interface does not have option to make them thicker. not all 3 lines show up as configured.
- When I get the graph settings I want, I want to be able to step through each stock in my portfolio. This was missing, you have re-added it, but it always goes back to top, so I have to scroll down and find my place every time.
- The only reason I use Yahoo over Google Finance is because it is better and familiar... so if you keep making it different yet LESS functional for real use, I will abandon yahoo finance for something better.
Setup 3 portfolios...with at least 6 to 20 stocks in each. Setup three graph indicators. Use 22" or larger LED screen. Zoom to 120% on firefox. Now, navigate around all 3 portfolios and you tell me if its a good interface now?

Your old charts were much better. Now that ads occupy the bottom third of the screen, the chart data is compressed and much less useful. Your new charts are second rate at best.

Right click on lines drawn on chart does not eliminate the line. How do I get rid of the lines?

Obviously my opinion means nothing, but . . . I firmly agree this "new" chart platform has so many difficulties and inconveniences, for the eventual results, that it is completely, or almost so, disappointing. What a shame!
The time consumed, the effort, the learning of how to operate your new charting system has proven itself to be a complete waste of time. So much so, I,after spending so very much time learning how to operate your "new and I presume 'improved' charts (by the way - there is nothing improved about them. Or so I think. I finally decided to move my charting routine to another service, I'm ever so sorry to say.
Prior to changing to the 'new' system of what seemed to be a well accepted charting program, I am wondering if a survey was taken of those using your charts? What did they wanted, what were they missing, what did they wish they had, etc? If the answer is a "No, a survey was not taken" - Then SHAME, SHAME, ON YOU, YAHOO!
I know I saw nothing about a survey or the possibility of the 'old' chart being 'updated' or replaced with some other type chart. Nope - not a word.
Merely one bright and sunny day - in all of its shinning glory - THERE THEY WERE - THE 'NEW AND IMPROVED CHARTING PROGRAM"!
"Where DID my charts go? And, further more - HOW do you operate these?"
Thanks for listening to yet another lament on thee 'Yahoo Charts Of Old' -

The new charts are horrible and useless in all ways, old charts were much better 100%. It is a misfortune that something good has been totally destroyed with this disastrous "improvement". I'm not using any more these impossible charts.
Why this absurd suicide? The change was sponsored by Metatrader and Visual Chart? (to erase rivals ...) GO BACK TO THE OLD CHARTS!! -

Please go back to the old charts. I knew how to use them with the exponential moving averages and periods, and used the charts successfully, but now am lost. I can't get the same information to identify trends, which gave me excellent information on buy and sell points. The "new and improved" charts are a mess with no instructions on how to use them, and really appear to be made for the sake of "change", not because they are an improvement. If making changes, why not give us the option to keep what we like and offer a good reason for making ostensible "improvements".

The best "improvement" would be to reverse the last "improvement" and go back to the "old" charts. Second best and important improvement would be to stop all further "improvements"The "old" charts were Close to 100 %perfection and were up the pyramid 95%. Not much Place left for more improvements - and no neeeeeed for it. The new charts represents a downward slide to 25 % of ultimate perfection. Fell thus from 95% of ultimate perfection to 25%. Who wants such "improvements"?
"Improvements" to new charts unnecessary, devastating, useless, pointless and so on.
Way too complicated. I too stupid to be able use them And I cant manage them and dont Always know whuch values to insert, -

Whoa! A sign of life at Yahoo. Someone added the "Gathering Feedback" signage to all the comments complaining about the new charts. Not bad progress for 2 -3 months of futzing with the new charts. Now if you could just hit the "reset" button and go back to the old charts.

I liked the old format because it was easy to read. The new format is hard to use, slow and hard to read. Just like the old Chinese saint said, "draw a snake and added the legs". or it works why change it. Not because I don't like changes. But if change for better, then is alright. Changes for worst, just don't bother.
