    I have followed these instructions on how to switch back to classic mail and it is non existent---Switch to Basic Yahoo Mail, Sign in to Yahoo Mail.
    Click the Settings icon, select More settings, Click Switch to Basic Mail---to begin with there is no "settings icon" anywhere on the page to click on so the rest of it doesn't exist, please email me with specific instructions on how to switch back, thank you...

    THIS NEW LOOK IS **** !! Besides YOU KEEP INVADING USER´S PRIVACY AND TAKING DECISIONS AND CHANGING THINGS WITHOUT CONSULTING THEM. That means that Yahoo DOESN´T GIVE A **** to its users WILLS and OPINIONS. I recommend EVERYBODY TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNTS in this ****** SERVICE. I WILL CLOSE MINE AS SOON AS I MIGRATE TO GMAIL HTML VERSION, which reminds the older GOOD email services look. LET´S SINK YAHOO, if they don´t respect our views.

    Why do you feel you(Yahoo) have to make changes away from a format that virtually has worked for years. Is it simply justification for keeping your programmers and designers busy? Why do you feel the need to change the "Classic Mail" or "Basic" format. Have you never heard the old adage, "If It aint broken, don't fix it"? This new format is 3 times more steps or clicks than before and it doesn't work or adhere to the commands you give it, anyway. This must have been a junior or beginner programmer/layout designer that put this current Trojan horse together. Please give me back my old format.

    Switch back to the yahoo that I was used to having or else I will migrate to some other format

    I've been with Yahoo since I was 11. I've had the classic mail that entire time and unless you can switch back, I may have to figure something else out. I stuck with Yahoo because I hated the gmail and microsoft layouts but here we are now. Just change it back please.

    Why is everyone still demanding the return of Classic? It's been gone for years, and it's not coming back. They replaced Classic with two versions: a fancy one and "Basic." I used basic. Then three weeks ago, they changed Basic.

    The screen jumps to another location/position as you're typing when you're replying to an email. Why does it do that? It's really annoying, Also, the font is way too small, and they removed the arrows that were added in a Fwd. email (I did that because I comment WITHIN email text sometimes and the arrows made it easier to differentiate between new and old text).

    Also, you have to click "Edit" to be able to respond to an email WITHIN the text of the sender's email. Who's the genius that said, "Hey, let's add an unnecessary step when replying to an email"?

    They are not listening to us here. But there is one way to make your voice heard. Either use Yahoo email less or not at all.

    If you were to bring back Yahoo! Mail as it was years ago, at the height of your popularity, you would most likely gain many of your previous users who have abandoned your service out of protest. Both format changes of the past years were completely unnecessary and just complicated things for the end-user for no apparent reason. About the only thing that Yahoo! is known for post-2005 is their E-Mail service - you alienating your users with unnecessary format changes is very poor business strategy. The adage 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' is sound wisdom - people do not want new interfaces that add no new functionality, and rather, they just want things that work. Years ago, Yahoo! Mail worked...the feedback on this forum would indicate that in the more-recent iterations of Yahoo! Mail, well, otherwise.

    Bring back basic. Search doesn't work on new 'classic'. There's no bold or italics in message. Adding attachments sucks (cannot drag onto page).

    I cannot believe how bad this is. Why was this shipped?

    The old is the best among all mails services. New one is skipping its position down. Please change to old one. Old Is Gold

    Classic email is the best! Each so-called 'improvement' is 500 steps backwards. I mostly miss the RED FLAG at the front of the from in the inbox entry to distinguish IMPORTANT emails. "Favorites" is just a catch-all. It doesn't get specific enough, and it's in the middle.
