Ability to place a NOTE
In Thunderbird I was able to put a NOTE on my incoming packages. That would be a great option.

Stop loading images from internet sources
At one time, there was a way to prevent images from loading unless a [Load Images] button was pressed. Now, it always loads images even from spam accounts which informs them of a live email address. Worse yet, it appears as if Yahoo preloads the image from the source and stores it ahead of loading. This means it is read even if I delete the email without opening it.

Your "Filters" has a hole that cannot stop spam if the document contains double <html> tags.
Using your Filters and studying the html of spam I have been able to stop 100% of my spam for years. About 9 months ago some 'spammer' has figured out a way around your filter tools.
When creating a filter you allow a filter to flag an email as spam if FROM, BODY, SUBJECT contain a string of text, this works for 99% of spam.
However, what is needed is to be able to say if the DOCUMENT contains a certain string then to flag it as spam.
The spam I cannot stop has the following HTML structure:

New names and addresses - not saving
I have added several names more than twice to my address book only to have them disappear or not appear in a search.

You need better spam rejection.
You have changed something. I've seen more spam coming through than in times past. So much spam that I may as well not even pay for premium email. The whole point of paying was to reduce spam.

If I search for the phrase "you there", it should only show me results that have "you there" in the Subject line. NOT results that just have "you"!

Bring back delete key shortcut Shift # in yahoo mail

Sender contact info tab taking up too much space.
I searched for emails from a specific sender but now half my screen (on the right hand side) is taken up with the contact info of that sender. I see no way to close the contact info tab and the screen real estate for viewing the emails is very limited as a result.
