  1. Please insure it will take at least 48hrs for a recovery email to be removed if it's been on the account for at least 1 week.

My ymail was just hacked and thankfully I got back into it and that was the number one thing I think would be the most useful measure to make sure the rightful owner can get back their account.

  2. I need to access my account but no longer have my old number.

    I lost my old phone number and forgot to change it before changing it on my other email account and can not get in. I dont want to have to call a number to talk it through i should be able to recover this easier.

  5. Yahoo has serious issue to be corrected

    Yahoo has serious flaw in mobile version, i send a mail from the Desktop, when i see the same mail from mobile, there is difference in text.

  6. Not receiving SMS verification codes for Yahoo Mail accounts in the Philippines

    We aren't receiving SMS verification codes for my yahoo mail phone number and for my dad's yahoo mail phone number. It appears to be a problem with Globe Telecom in the Philippines. Can you not call the numbers instead?

  7. Send the unique code by both Email and text.

    Send the unique verification code by Both text and email. If your email is only on a desktop system and you are using a laptop or mobile device that does not have email, the text is essential.

  10. How about more vigilance with spam and phishing emails. My yahoo account was compromised 30 times in 2 years. 26 ARE THROUGH YAHOO MAIL!

    Yahoo thinks I still have my old phone model and uses this as a 2-step contact. The ability to change this is not easily found or apparent in the add phone number section.

  14. BY NOT CONTINUOUSLY TELLING ME THAT MY EMAIL ACCOUNTS OR MOBILE NUMBER HAVE NOT BEEN VERIFIED FOR 14 YEARS - WHICH IS NONSENSE.

    If you need to verify email accounts or mobile numbers please don't keep on telling me that I have not done so for 14 years or other such nonsene. My family keep on telling me to switch to Gmail!

  15. Someone removed my account. Can I only get help from your paid service?

    For those whose accounts are taken over by a malicious 3rd party, it only adds pain to the insult by only getting customer support if you now have to pay for help. That seems like a penalty, and not a benefit. I think the exploit changed my email address to another address and the actor then deleted my account, and Yahoo says it can't access the account with automated services. I don't think it is fair.

  16. Requirement for 3rd party app password generator is outrageous. No other mail service requires this for Outlook.

    Requirement for 3d party app password is ridiculous. No other mail service requires it. Customer service told me tough luck, its broken and we have no idea when it will be fixed. Is Yahoo worth it? Google is free.

    The massive amount of password resetting, while still getting hacked, is insanity. And it's just as much of a security risk to have passwords written down (because you have to because of password requirements) as anything else. I know you can make this more safe and efficient. Y'all have been doing this a long time.
