3. been clunking around in the new finance format for the past 2 weeks and it still sucks, even more than before.....

   just about to start looking into Google Finance, sink or swim, or any other format that's customer-friendly (like the old Yahoo format WAS) and doesn't take forever to load anything... Has Yahoo fired the programmers responsible for this nightmare they now call Yahoo Finance? JOKE, the program is now a JOKE!

   Subject: Daily historical price data has been unreliable since late July 2026

   To the Yahoo Finance data team,

   I rely on Yahoo Finance daily historical prices for a portfolio of about 330 exchange-traded funds listed in the United States and Canada. For roughly ten weeks the end-of-day data has been arriving late, arriving empty, or disappearing after it was already published. I am writing to ask that you acknowledge the problem, explain its cause, and tell users when it will be fixed.

   What I have observed

   On the evening of October 2, 2026, at about 8:15 PM Eastern, your chart service returned a bar dated October 2 for 308 of 331 funds in which volume was populated but the open, high, low and close were all null. SPY and QQQ were among them. The 22 funds that did carry a close were nearly all listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, which shows this was a feed problem for US listings, not a market event.

   This is not an isolated night. The same pattern has recurred repeatedly:

   • August 28, 2026: no bar at all for the session for many US funds. One bar that I repaired by hand from another source was later overwritten by a null bar when your feed re-served the day.
   • September 2, 2026: no US bars served for the whole session.
   • September 25, 2026: other users documented that SPY, VOO, BIL and VEA had a close at 5:13 PM Eastern and a null close at 8:41 PM Eastern the same evening.
   • July 24, July 28 and July 31, 2026: whole sessions or the latest bar missing, as reported publicly by other users on the same dates.

   In addition, the fund OILT has returned null daily bars every session since September 22, 2026, while your quote page still shows it trading. The fund RNEW returns "No data found, symbol may be delisted" although it has not been announced as delisted.

   Why this matters

   A null close served for a day that has already closed is worse than a late one. Systems that read your data cannot tell a null from a genuine market closure. When a close is published in the afternoon and then withdrawn in the evening, any process that refreshes after 8 PM Eastern silently loses data it already had. I have had to build guards and a second data source specifically to protect against your feed, and I am aware of several other users who have done the same.

   What I am asking for

   1. Confirm whether your end-of-day history is rebuilt nightly, and if so, publish the time window during which the latest bar should not be relied upon.
   2. Stop serving a bar with volume but no prices. Either serve the complete bar or omit the day until it is complete.
   3. Publish a status page or notice for data incidents, so users do not have to discover missing sessions one by one.
   4. Repair the gaps for August 28 and September 2, 2026 wherever they still exist, and fix the OILT and RNEW records.

   I would appreciate a reply that addresses these points rather than a generic acknowledgement. I am happy to supply the full list of affected symbols and timestamps.

5. Can't enter symbols $$ with cd's in portfolio

   I'm trying to add a cd to a portfolio with $$ and the cd nbr like so: $$06051YHY9. IT WILL NOT ACCEPT IT. WHAT HAVE YOU CHANGED????????????

6. Please fix the core layout of pages

   The central panel now has to show a horizontal scroll bar because the content doesn't fully display within the panel.
   It used to show the complete content.
   Also, this may be because you don't use the whitespace surrounds of content. a lot of space is wasted

9. Add market price on detailed holdings page

   When i go to the detailed holdings page I see avg cost, market value, etc.. but I dont see the market price (per share). Can that be added to easily see difference between my avg cost and market price?

    I love using your portfolio!
    Something that would make it easier to see where I'm at - Add avg cost to quotes shown on main portfolio page for a super quick view. Could even be just a preference or option that only some users select.

11. Lost Ability to Enter Custom Tickers

    With the latest update we no longer can add custom ticker symbols, it only allows search for valid symbols. We used to be able to add a custom ticker by preceding the value with $$, that no longer works in the Add Holdings.

    In addition, when we click Add a Transaction, why is the initial action option Buy? We have like 3 different ways before we get there to add a buy. It would make more sense to either start with a Sell as there's no other place to do that or to allow us to set our own default.

13. How can I print my portfolios to comma separated text files?

    Before the changes this week, this was easy. Now, all I can find is the option to print to a PDF file. I want a simple text file that is easy to parse and not cluttered with lots of stuff I don't want.

14. Restore the ability to add custom ticker symbols to portfolios

    Until this week, I was able to add custom tickers to my portfolios. For options that have not yet entered your system, this has been the only way that I can enter them until they are recognized by Yahoo! I also sometimes add a "dummy" symbol that I used to label a group of tickers. Please restore the capability to add custom ticker symbols!

15. Values only showing .....

    In header for showing the (Summary or holding data, market value, day change, unrealized G/L, Realized G/L) these fields only show a bunch of dots ..... when viewing on Android phone. Even when I change the site setting to desktop, it still displays a series of ..... instead of values.

    Please fix.

    SafeTrade.com and FrieExchange.com have GridCoin $grc and probably have the price feed available. GridCoin is the GOAT when it comes to DeSci.

    When viewing a portfolio, please load the top of the page (indexes, etc.) at the top, not the portfolio. When viewing the portfolio, I want to see what the overall markets are doing at the same time. Second, and I've referred this bug to Yahoo support a number of times and they have yet to fix it, is for Yahoo to fix the bug that requires me to hit the reload button after a portfolio download before the download option will work again. This is not browser specific as the same thing happens in Edge, Chrome, etc. Yahoo has had similar issues in the past where you would have to reload a page before an option would work again.
