been clunking around in the new finance format for the past 2 weeks and it still sucks, even more than before.....
just about to start looking into Google Finance, sink or swim, or any other format that's customer-friendly (like the old Yahoo format WAS) and doesn't take forever to load anything... Has Yahoo fired the programmers responsible for this nightmare they now call Yahoo Finance? JOKE, the program is now a JOKE!

The new format is tooooooo busy and tooo many categories.........I do not need Yahoo to categorize my email.....the new design looks like the designers were drunk, on drugs orave a diabolical sense of humor

Update (later on Sept 9): It's BACK! Thank you very much!
On the Advanced Chart page, there previously was a right column that displayed my portfolios. It had a button that let me display it or hide it, and it was very convenient for viewing charts one after another for a list of stocks.
It stopped displaying several days ago, so I thought it might come back. But despite refreshing and resetting the page several times it has not returned.
It would be very nice to have that portfolio column display again on the Advanced Chart page.

Add Sector and Industry as column options
It would be helpful to add Sector and Industry to the columns available in Yahoo Finance so that we can easily sort by (effectively a rudementary group filtering capability) the Sector and/or Industry to get a quick glance at the holdings in the same Sector / Industry - this would enable better decisions as we are deciding on new purchases and/or selling off holdings. I know that a paid version of your site shows sectoral breakdown information at a high level, but that's not what I'm looking for.

News filtering on the app
Hey everyone,
I wanted to suggest a feature that could be really helpful. In the news tab for our portfolio and individual stocks, it would be fantastic to have the option to filter news by press releases, general news, or even company-specific releases. There’s a lot of news out there that isn’t very useful, like headlines such as “Top Five Growth Stocks to Buy Now and Forget.” These types of headlines can be quite irrelevant for the average investor and even seasoned stock speakers.
Implementing this feature would be a huge improvement. Thanks again

Add ‘weight’ column
Add a ‘weight’ column for showing percent value of each stock holding versus the overall investment total. I use Yahoo portfolios as a rollup for several brokerage accounts. It would be useful for portfolio rebalancing and is a basic column in all brokerage account displays.

Quantities cannot be updated
This started this week (8/31/26). I can't find out any way to update the quantities on "my list". Also the line for cash no longer shows. irl is https://finance.yahoo.com/portfolio/pf_74d2aa07_166f_4ed1_9c7f_3_p_0/view/view_0

Performance and Corporate Guidance
Your chart trendline is blue and the performance dot is blue, needless to say it can be very difficult to see on the chart. Its worth mentioning that sometimes earnings dates are shown with a blue performance dot and other times a red corporate guidance dot. Stick with one color for earnings and leave the other for events outside of earnings dates. PE ratio's, Earning Dates and not to mention price targets are often wrong in tables.

Yahoo Finance error
On the Yahoo Finance page, it often happens that when I change the stock ticker, the result for the previously searched ticker appears in the "Earnings Per Share" box. I don't know if other users have experienced this issue, but I believe the problem lies with the site itself. Thank you for your attention.

Customize order of watchlists/portfolios.
I am not able to order my watchlists the way I would like to. The reorder icon/function does not work. When I drag the selected list to the top of the column it immediately falls back to the bottom and does not save. This is using the web platform. When trying to use the mobile app (android phone and tablet) the lists can be moved but I get an error message when trying to save.

Yahoo Finance Charts (at a glance) on the main Finance page are erroneous
All indices were green but your charts seemed to suggest the opposite. Shouldn't there be a QC team?
