Please add color labels for categories of messages
After all these years, I'm disappointed that Yahoo Mail still only offers the very limited visual cues of Starred and Unread as ways of making certain messages stand out in the Inbox or within Folders. It would be so helpful if we were able apply color labels to certain messages, such as to flag certain ones as urgent, backburner, work, private, etc. Ideally, we would be able to edit to define the category colors for our own needs. But even if we couldn't attach a name for each color, just being able to label certain messages blue, green, orange, etc.…

Need easy access to setup email filter while going through new emails in Inbox
When hovering over an email in the Inbox, I can take action to "Move", "Star", "Mark as Read", "Archive", "Search by Sender", "Search by Subject", "Mark as Spam" or "Block Sender".
It would be very helpful if Yahoo could add an option for "Creating Email Filter" in the same place that would automatically place future email with the same characteristics in certain subfolders. This would allow a quick Inbox decluster.
Right now the Email Filter feature is buried deep in the Settings page that is rather difficult to find.

Now that I found my new folders and missing emails, let me decide what goes in them
Now that I'm finished complaining that my missing emails were being filed and I didn't know that...
I kind of like this setup, but emails are not going into the folders I would prefer they go into. I would like to make this determination, but there is no obvious way to do it.
Please add a feature that lets me determine what goes where. Again, AI is guessing and isn't doing it my way.
Thank you!

Mailbox view is too small and appearance settings are lacking
I do not like how small the view is. I don't like that the move, delete, star etc. covers my message in the inbox. It's annoying. It needs to be located on a separate tool bar so I can easily view the mail subject. The inbox should be wider, it is now smaller than half of the screen. And the settings does not allow me to customize the color or size of font. Your choice of purple is not a color I care for.

Replace primary address with alias
Allow users to replace their primary account email address with one of their aliases. Given enough time, the primary address is certain to fill up with spam. I want to replace my primary account address so that I can delete that address, but keep my account and my active aliases.

I don't see it.
I'm a yahoo plus and I hate not being able to remove the started emails pane. I don't want that stupid window floating there. If I want to see my starred emails, I will navigate to them! Give us the option to disable that!
thank you. -
Smart Mail
Mails that are commonly deleted by user should be sorted by your system with colors and allow users to filter their mail based on colors. this allows an easier way to sort mail out. Too often i spend time having to sort out junk mail. Its a complete waste of my time.
Example:
Day 1 I've opened my email and notice 250 mails. I spend time deleting the ones which are junk. 200 are junk. 25 are responses and the other 25 are important emails like bills.
My email is cleared.
Day 4: I do the same thing. Spend 15…

show unread first
I'd like to see all unread messages above the rest of the messages.

unsubscribe
Make the Unsubscribe button smaller — a lot smaller. It takes up so much horizontal space when I mouse over a message that it's far too easy to click it accidentally when I'm just trying to open a message.

Filter Email address wildcard
When using the filter option "ends with', allow a special character to act like a wildcard that matches both . and @. This would result in less filters as organizations will often use both variants. For example, Adobe currently uses both mail@mail.adobe.com and mail@email.adobe.com which can be filtered using .adobe.com but changes to an individual's profile or 2-fact authentication emails come from message@adobe.com so you need a 2nd filter for @abobe.com. Selecting a different special character which isn't valid in email addresses to act as a substitution to match either would allow creating 1 filter for both.

my idea is not already listed
The ad in the inbox- I mean... why? It should be highlighted in a way that people aren't confused that it is an email that they need to open.

Inbox interface/appearance is ugly, wastes space, and functions poorly for me.
I had yahoo set up exactly the way I wanted, with a tight interface so I could view more emails at one time and review them quickly. Neither the old nor the new option allows this now. If you add a new interface, please keep the old one AS IS. It is not that hard. This is a massive fail for yahoo. Will probably start forwarding my accounts elsewhere so I can appropriately customize my inbox.

Mail going to spam that is important- How do we fix it
You have marked my client as spam when it should be priority. I never blocked him and if I go into blocked emails there are only two and he isn't one of them. Hate this email!!!!!! How do I fix it. Why do you get to decided what is priority and what isn't. He is in my contacts. You should let us pick that the category with a button.

No distinction between Subject and Body text? You couldn't even make Subject bold text?! My god!

Tab counter error
I keep my mail count at 0 unread messages. If I open an email and do not delete it, and do not click inbox, but I go back a page to the inbox, the tab counter will not refresh. The tab counter will not say there are no unread messages but the tab counter will say 1 unread message even if there are no unread messages. When that happens, the counter does not reset until you reload the page.

"search by" function now is a right click
"search by" function now is a right click.
The old mail had a hover-over search icon on the sender and subject line, it was very convenient to just click that (i used it daily to follow threads) now i have to go to the <...> more at the end of an email subject to "search by" . not critical but old hover-over was more convenient
