WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  2. Coming Soon: Default to "ALL" Instead of "Priority"

    I will often let Offers and Newsletters pile up for a while, then go through them all in one go. But, annoyingly, if I open a message from, say, the Newsletters view, then move the message to a folder, I get put back into Priority view - argh! It should return to the most recent view I was using (Newsletters).

  3. Inbox Categories Options

    In playing with my email settings (and realizing I definitely prefer having the inbox categories disabled), I've realized that the option to presort/filter my mail with a quick button click is actually really handy. Here are some ideas for tweaking it to make it more user-specific.

    1. Please please please, let me set which filter I want as my default and/or allow the option to just go back to the last used filter. I hate that it keeps going back to the 'priority' filter.

    2. It would be nice to be able to select which filters I want being used. I don't…

  4. Header hides top bar of icons (delete, move, etc..)

    There are times when I am not able to see the top bar icons like delete, move etc on selecting a message.
    Also the buttons /icons are not fully align on selection. When I keep my mouse pointer at center of icon, it doesn't get highlighted & on clicking it, it will not work

  5. Search bar has moved down and blocking buttons within my inbox

    For whatever reason the search bar moves down into my inbox area. It is blocking some of the buttons and I'm having to restart my email to back to my inbox area.

  9. 'SORT BY SENDER' FILTER DOES NOT WORK

    Yahoo - your new mail system sucks. And your filter to sort by Sender Name DOESN'T WORK. It did NOT filter by sender name, in fact, I don't even know if it sorted my inbox at all, because it definitely was not sorted that way. The new mail is TOO BUSY LOOKING (ESPECIALLY IN MOBILE), I hate the font (no it does NOT make it easier to read), and the whole system is overall too cumbersome, especially if you have more than one account. It used to be much easier to toggle back and forth between accounts, but no more!…

    when i do a search in email .. then click on the box to select all, the new checkbox does not appear as it does when in the inbox without searching to select and delete all..

  11. how to sync my phone and laptop email?

    Since my phone and laptop Yahoo mail doesn't sync by itself anymore, can someone tell me how to do that? I delete or move emails in phone or laptop and when I go to the other device they are still there. I've searched and searched for a way to contact HELP and can't find any way to do that, so I posted my question here.

  12. LEAVE IT THE WAY IT WAS BECAUSE THE NEW WAY IS WORSE

    In the banner announcing the "New Yahoo" you state that we have MORE CONTROL over our inbox when, in fact, we have less control. stop gaslighting us. You have tarted collapsing email threads just like Google does, and I hate it there too. You merge these messages into one thread, but when we click on the email, you stack the earlier message above the new one which makes it confusing as to which email we are supposed to be reading.     Add option to trurn off your Spam filter - it does not work and wrongly marks normal emails as spam. So let me turn it off.

    Why the F!@#$ is my **** window for viewing an email less than half the width of my ******* computer screen?

    Worthless f@#$ing service at this point. Actively migrating my logins from yahoo email and never using this service again.

    ITS HORRIBLE TO KEEP ALL EMAILS FROM ONE PERSON IN ONE TREAD / EMAIL, ITS SOO HARD TO GET WHAT S WHAT WHICH EMAILK IS WHICH , FOR EXAMPLE i FORWARDED AN EMAIL AND NOW i NEED TO REPLY TO TH EORIGINAL SENDER BUT WHEN i PRESS REPLY IT GOES TO THE PERSON i FORWARDED IT NOT TO ORIGINAL PERSON THAT SEND ME THAT EMAIL

    OLD YAHOO WAS MUCH BETTER , NOT SURE WHO CAME UP WITH THIS GREAT IDEA THAT SUCKS
