The "Drafts" icon no longer shows the number of active drafts
In the old version I was able to see how many drafts were currently in the Drafts folder.
This is no longer possible for some reason
Please fix.

Arrow to view subfolders of subfolders no longer visible
When the left side of the screen is expanded to show folders, if a subfolder name is too long, the drop-down arrow to show the subfolders under that folder is no longer visible. This is a new issue. Previously, the folder name would be truncated so that the arrow was always visible. Now, I can't access the subfolders of a subfolder unless I close the left-hand column, click on the icon for Folders, and choose the subfolder's subfolders through the pop-up box. Please fix this ASAP so that the drop-down arrows to access subfolders are again always visible.

Option to open message in new tab
Hey "geniuses" at Yahoo your latest crapfest of an interface took away the ability to open a message in a new tab. That was vital to my productivity. I would go through a large list of unread messages, check most of them for immediate deletion without opening, but the messages I wanted to read I would open in a new tab. You killed that feature for junk nobody wanted. I ask again, does anybody at Yahoo ever speak to another human being???
Hi Jason, we didn't take that feature away. It's still there, we recommend checking your Settings as we have a lot of things there you can disable or even customize to your liking.
From the left hand navigation: More > Settings > Appearance > Multi-tasking Tabs.

Why did you remove the BLOCK feature?
I used to be able to block SPAM & MALICIOUS email.
Now the Blocking is gong.We did not remove the block feature we simply call it mark as spam. Marking an email does the exact same thing as blocking, it prevents the email from coming to your Inbox. Please make sure you are marking these emails as spam. Ty!

Get rid of the popups congratulating me for getting emails!!!!
I received a popup telling me something to the effect of "congratulations - you've received emails for 3 days!". I receive emails EVERY DAY. I do not need Yahoo to congratulate me for them. If there are other cutesie popups like this, GIVE US A WAY TO DISABLE THEM.

Don't impose the Primary view on us
Please let us switch to the old email!
If not, I absolutely hate the default "Primary view," I want all my emails and get confused if some appear missing.
Also, I want to see my emails organized by month and year like in the old email.

wtf have you done now all the folders and unread option have been hidden!
I have 77 folders with mail filters, it's unusable now why would anyone hide all of the folders and "unread" in sub menus this is absurd.
How am I supposed to know when there are new emails in sub folders at a glance when I log in?

I DO NOT WANT THE NEW VERSION OF YAHOO MAIL- THE INSTRUCTIONS TO RETURN TO BASIC EMAIL DO NOT FUNCTION BECAUSE THE INFO OPTION PRESENTED ON THE NEW YAHOO MAIL ARE NOT AVAILABLE. !!!! I WANT TO RETURN TO BASIC YAHOO MAIL !!!! THE NEW EMAIL IS TOO SLOW AND CLUTTERED.

get rid of streaks
No body cares about email streaks. Email is not a video game. It is 100% annoying to have your stupid pop-ups regarding "streaks" while they are trying to read/respond to emails. Just stop this childish non-sense

how bout not changing someones email w/o asking them.
you changed my email and now I can't function. I like it the way it was and I've had to google it to change it back. And of course it doesn't work. the switch back to classic doesn't show up. How bout fixing that or putting a button to undo the mess you guys put me in. thanks.

The recent Yahoo Mail layout no longer displays folders permanently in the left navigation pane. I organise mail by dragging messages into folders, and the new pop-out folder menu significantly slows down filing. Please restore the option for folders to remain visible on the left-hand side.
This is important for users who manage large numbers of emails and rely on drag-and-drop filing rather than the Move menu. Better ease in finding the settings/gear icon
I have to scroll to the bottom of my folders and then click the three dots to be able to display the settings gear. It would be MUCH more helpful to have it under "Manage my Account." Thanks for considering!
Hi Karen, we currently have no plans in moving the Settings. Most of the time, our users will go to their Settings once, maybe twice to disable or customize things, but we can see that Settings is not a popular place to go, therefore we currently have no plans in moving it and keeping it where it is. Make viewing email folders accessible
The column is far too small & I can't see all my folder names, need ability to expand it. The starred/contacts box takes up space- should be able to reduce or remove that from the view.

Have Unread Emails appear in the Primary Mail tab
Why do I have to click over to a separate "Unread" tab to see some of my emails? And why is that Unread tab buried in a separate tab which has so little features in it, you could just put them all on the control bar on the side! Why does clicking on the Inbox default to "Primary" instead of "All"? And how does the system decide which emails show up in 'primary"?
What was the point of this stupid update? all it does is make my email more of a hassle.
Friendly reminder to always check your Settings. Yes, we introduced Inbox Categories to help organize your emails better, but we also understand that not everyone would need or want, therefore, you can disable it under your Settings and go back to having just one Inbox.
