Get rid of the message summaries
They are redundant and messy. If you don't want to get rid of them, at least let people opt in or out depending on their preferences.

Add a "compact" view to the email interface
Paddings are way too large, text is too big:
- Around the top nav bar
- The rows with the emails are way too large, I'd like to see more of them on my screen
- The buttons are way too big they have too much paddingOther issues :
The search bar is not centered in the middle
Hovering over the rows (emails) has an outer box shadow which feels clunky, I prefer the subtle highlights.
The new message button is HUGE too much padding and margins -
Get rid of the summary bot at the top of the email
Get rid of the summary, it is not useful , blocks most of the email on the page, increases requirements for scrolling, is obtrusive, obstructive, and obnoxious. Tell which ever BSD thought this was a good idea to put it back in his pants and actuALLY THINK OF SOMETHING USEFUL

Yahoo New Mail has a clean design and useful features, but there are several areas where it could be improved to provide a better user experience.

In 2025 it's above disgusting that yahoo is the only email service that doesnt allow to add your own wallpaper. Your themes have been the same for years. This probably has been asked a million times over and over. Do you ever listen to what users want or is this just a sounding box.

I don't like the Primary header
Why does the new yahoo mail default to the Primary header? I want to see all my emails, not just the ones deemed "primary".
I like that the emails are all the same sized now, I can flick through emails, using the arrows, without finding the arrows have moved position.
But get rid of the primary.We encourage you to read at the top of the Uservoice header (forum). There we provide What’s New, Coming Soon and some Tips. There we mention how to disable Inbox Categories: All, Priority, etc. Definitely read those as we update them with useful information. Thanks.

Visual indicator when using up/down arrow keys to navigate "move to folder" while in dark mode
When moving a message to a folder while in dark mode, there's no visual indicator when using the up/down arrow to pick the folder you want it to be moved to.

Please add color themes. Light or Dark themes both look too harsh.
Having a white message area, with all other areas purple or another other color makes the entire page easier to look at.
The alternative would be making the Dark theme charcoal, not pitch black.
I'm sorry to see replies to others who suggested similar color themes saying Yahoo! has no plans to bring it back.

I see that you have made the decision not to allow themes, but can you please add one more color choice? Both black and white are so harsh. I will have to change providers if you can't give a warmer color like green or blue.

Where is Basic Mail Dark mode???
How come there is No Dark mode for Basic Mail?? the layout is simple and is easy to read. its just too bright for me especially at 12am with the lights off. I do Not like the standard dark mode there's too much going on. "If it Ain't Broke Don't Fix it"
