Any coronavirus quotes including the term "exponential growth" of cases, death, hospitalizations, etc. should be fact-checked. No graphs you publish, no data which I review from California, Wisconsin, or the US shows "exponential" growth of anything, simply "linear" growth of all. The once expected prediction of "1 spreads it to 5, those 5 spread it to 25, and those to 125 and so on" has never been seen. That IS "exponential growth" and no graph of cases, death, etc has had anything other than a normal linear scale on the "counts" of any of these.
As a math guy, this erroneous characterization does nothing but fuel the fear of readers/listeners rather than provide the realistic picture.
