While I saw this coming, the elimination of the league Message Board, in our football leagues I was hoping Yahoo would keep the Message Board, particularly in football. The Message Board is critical in maintaining league integrity and used hugely in the draft process. Also used for league chatter and keeping the fun and competitiveness going all season in a league. Not that it will do any good but I "urge" Yahoo to re-consider and bring back the Message Board which Yahoo has grossly and mistakenly chose to remove from all fantasy sports..

To the minuscule number of posters to this thread who said--I'm paraphrasing--oh, the message board was not important in our league or our league did not use the message board all season. What? I sure as **** wouldn't want to belong to your leagues. They had to be awfully boring and unfriendly, or perhaps even a ghost league where you were the only member. All my leagues, as a commish or a member, uses the message board 2 or 3 times a week if not more. Message boards are used, and critical, for conducting league business and maintaining the integrity, competitiveness and friendliness of all leagues. You few must be Yahoo employees or being paid by Yahoo with those insane suggestions on the ability to run a legitimate league without a message board to we overwhelming majority who want the message board back.

Hey all---this Yahoo situation grows from bad to worse on a daily basis. In addition to removing the Message Board in our baseball leagues, Yahoo appears to have removed a category in current, on-going hockey leagues. Yahoo is no longer displaying the % Started in hockey leagues. No big deal I admit but I "tried" contacting Yahoo through the so-called Help Desk to inform them of this possible oversight for today's games. I was put in a waiting "Chat" queue and was the #1 customer in the queue but no Yahoo rep ever came on. After waiting 10 minutes I e-mailed Yahoo with this hockey inquiry. I immediately received a Yahoo survey, before and without a Yahoo rep ever responding. Needless to say, I blasted Yahoo in my survey, something Yahoo warrants by their total lack of customer service and uncaring attitude toward we customers. I believe Yahoo is setting the stage for getting out of the fantasy business. I know this is a baseball thread but just wanted to show that Yahoo's undisciplined business behavior has moved over to other Yahoo sports now also. Yahoo is totally useless now. By the way Yahoo, bring back the Message Board!!

Yahoo---simple solution to this critical issue. Why don't you allow individual league commissioners the option to either use the Message Board or Chat, but not both, in their respective leagues? I believe you know the answer as the overwhelming majority of commissioners would choose the Message Board. Bring back the Message Board and at least give us an option.

To all of those recommending the Fantrax site I am having difficulty in even registering to get in. I have tried several different Usernames--of all things--and Fantrax says that name already exists despite my names being very unique. I really would like to check this site out but this fact alone already is making me somewhat suspicious of Fantrax. Any other sites available without all this drama?

I don't know if any of you may have tried, as I did, to contact Yahoo's "Help Desk". Well, you will get absolutely NO HELP from Yahoo's "Help Desk" whatsoever on this subject of the Message Board removal. Where is the "Help"? Yahoo has chosen NOT to address this issue at all even with long-time and devoted Yahoo members. Yahoo refuses to even discuss our legitimate and genuine concerns. Maybe the Help Desk isn't responding because in the past, when they actually did respond to an issue, they would soon thereafter send a survey. HA!! It wouldn't take a scientist to guess my responses to any Yahoo survey. Yahoo definitely WOULD NOT like my current thoughts and my recommendations for anyone considering joining Yahoo would be ZERO!! Even the so-called "Help Desk" is now useless.

I've been giving this ridiculous decision of Yahoo removing the Message Board (MB) from our baseball leagues some thought. Perhaps Yahoo WANTS us to leave their fantasy platform in droves and that is their motive in the first place. Yahoo has paid no attention to us in addressing this critical issue and our overwhelming request to restore the MB. You can bet this is just the start of Yahoo's insane moves in that Yahoo will do the same with all other sports. Yahoo's new motto should be "A Message Board Removal Will Be Coming To Your League Soon"!!

The arrogance Yahoo is showing by not addressing this critical issue and our concerns. I, as a commish, am already encountering huge issues in trying to correspond with league managers as far as confirming what managers are returning and discussions about changing league categories and stats and other issues which we readily discussed within the Message Board at the end of last season. That option is no longer available by Yahoo's inexcusable, horrible decision. As one commenter posted earlier, if Yahoo doesn't want to run their leagues in a professional manner they should totally get out of the fantasy business. Yahoo "use" to be fun and easily accessible to all with the Message Board and highly recommendable. That is no longer the case as I would not recommend Yahoo, for any purposes, to anyone considering joining the site. Yahoo is definitely down-trending--BIG TIME!!

Yahoo---Do the right thing and restore the Message Board immediately!! You seem to be totally ignoring the wishes of the overwhelming consensus from we dedicated, devoted and long-time Yahoo fantasy players. It's a slap in the face to us all. You will get respect when you give respect. The Message Board is one of the most important and critical tools used in fantasy leagues.

To the poster promoting the FANTRAX site. I did some initial research on this site and it does look promising. I did notice however on the register page there is a "Promo Code" box. I'm wondering what that is all about as you did say this was a free site. I did not register, not yet anyway. I would prefer to stay in Yahoo and that depends greatly if Yahoo will bring back the Message Board which I doubt they will do despite the general outcry from we devoted and long-time Yahoo players. Speaking of the Message Board, I have no doubt that Yahoo has plans to eliminate this important tool in all of its leagues and it just started with baseball. Why? Yahoo won't tell us and be transparent with we devoted players. It has to be a money/revenue-related issue on Yahoo's end and once again, it is a very poor decision on Yahoo's part which will make our leagues that much more difficult as far as corresponding within our leagues. I would certainly not recommend Yahoo leagues to anyone now who is considering joining a league or creating a league of their own.

This was a HORRIBLE decision by Yahoo to do away with the Message Board (MB). The MB is a very important tool in all leagues for commissioners and managers to correspond on league issues and friendly chatter/banter with a record of documentation and history. The MB is also easily accessible to all. I am the commish of 2 leagues and a manager in several other leagues and none of those leagues have ever used the Chat tool and I doubt we ever will. By eliminating the Message Board, Yahoo has made it much more difficult to correspond within leagues and this very poor decision is very detrimental to all leagues. I request and strongly urge Yahoo to restore the Message Board tool immediately.

This IL+ plus position is offered in other Yahoo sports but not in baseball. With all these players getting hurt on a daily basis and listed as DTD (day-to-day) a manager has very few options to put in a full lineup. These are players you don;t want to drop. Enjoy all Yahoo sports but this issue in baseball needs to be addressed immediately.
