YES!!! HOW THE HELL DO WE GET RID OF THIS "DEALS" NONSENSE...!!!
Many of us are not stay at home older men/women who specifically MAKE TIME to look at this extra stupid S_ _ _ email DEALS!!!
HOW DO WE GET RID OF STOP SEEING THEM!!!??? Many of us do not have the time NOR the desire to want OR see these DANG DEALS!!!!
WE-DO-NOT-WANT-TO-SEE-DEALS!!!! It is not FOR OUR CONVENIENCE, it is for yahoo's convenience.
WE ARE ALREADY PAYING for the email service - as ANONYMOUS, on Nov. 30, 2018 stated - this has been forced on us!!!
And as Leon Stone commented, Sept 29, 2019 - make it an option "SO WE CAN TURN IT OFF!!!"
This is a prime candidate topic for me to write up on one of my web sites - just search for yahoo & patrick642), with MUCH SAUCIER language than I am permitted here (old Jarhead).
And like MC, on Apr 23, 2019 - I too have had this account for over 20+ years and this DEAL VIEW crap just finally got to me (especially while I'm using a tablet or phone)...
These email ADD-ONs just keep getting worse and making many of us entirely pissed off at the entity doing these "convenience" steps... But, I'm trying to be polite here.

Yes, forced change is not the way and I agree with Patricia Benfield, the old format was very good.
We had contacts and calendar on the left, as well as the delete and search, on the email line, ON THE NEAR LEFT - NOW THE DELETE BUTTON IS MOVED TO THE FAR RIGHT - NOT CONVENIENT, unless we, first, click the check box, then go up to the delete option, then click on it.
The layout in the old format WAS EXCELLENT FOR SEARCHING, DELETING.
The new format STILL did NOT bring back folder sizes like we used to have years ago (NOW, THAT WAS A GREAT FEATURE - to see how large our folders were so WE KNEW where we had to delete content from).

    CORRECTION 2:
Delete button on far right in IE
    These are okay in firefox
Still very odd not showing up in IE...

No, it is not just you - this new format is pathetic.
I went to check out your comments and I too do not have those options.
They moved the friggin' delete button for each email to the extreme right.
They added extra steps JUST TO MOVE email(s). No more drag to a different folder.
I went to the "settings" button to change email status once I've read it and that option is not there.
Most of - this "feedback" is referring to yahoo basic and I HAVE PRO because I'm sick of commercials and ads but yahoo in their ingenious moments of 'not thinking' has made the email platform worse.
We have less control of what we do with email.... Lemme tell ya, I am exploring options to archive and move all my email to a new system (not sure yet where but I have it narrowed down).

Yes, it is completely pathetic. If you don't mind, I'm pasting previous comments here to ensure someone at yahoo 'might' read them:
No, it is not just you - this new format is pathetic.
We cannot do bold, italics, colors, emojis anymore - unless there is a secret hiding spot....
