Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

I don't like the appearance of the New Yahoo Mail page. I have a list of my emails to the left and a pane to the right with my starred emails set-up as the default appearance. I want to expand only my emails and hide the pane on the right but am not able too according to the instuctions I received when I asked for help in the Chat. I only want a list of my emails, not the pane to the right. How do I hide the pane? I can't move it even when hovering my mouse on the pane or Inbox edges. I want to expand my email list. How do I do it?

adjustable size for the starred/contact sidebar (the one on the right). I want to see the main middle bit with all my emails more, so if you could adjust the sizes of each box that would be awesome.

This just takes up space for something I don't use. I'd like to be able to turn off this element in via Settings so that the mailbox and message elements take up the whole screen.

I understand its a coming soon feature, pelase provide option to completely minimise / remove it as it takes up a lot of important real estate.
Also when replying a mail, having a pop out on the right side (i.e. clean window) as once i scroll through it was hard to find the text body i was typing in and the send funciton

This new feature that puts the contact list perminantly on the side of the screen is BAD! I want to view my emails, it takes up far too much of the screen. There should be a way to minimise it so I can actually see my emails properly!
If I need the contact list I should be able to expand it, not have it on the side all the time!

i hope the right side of the email can have hide button, since i am only using 13" laptop it take up too much space. and honestly the ads are so annoying. the email should be a productive space for user like us. iwe hope you can improve my suggestions. the only reason i am not switching is because ive been using yahoo since i was a kid and we hope you listen to your users and improve it

Make it so the stupid thing on the right hand side with Starred and Contacts tabs can be removed from the screen. It takes up to much screen and is annoying.

Get rid of the right hand column. It makes the emails impossible to read, and I don't want that **** in my face when I am trying to get through my emails. What idiot said we wanted less space for our emails onscreen?

On my yahoo email page i have advertising on right side and on the bottom, my emails messages i have about 50% of the screen. By any chance to consolidate them to one with 30% of the screen, because for elderly client with adjusted letter/screen maximizing to >100% almost impossible to follow emails.

Hi, I'm a paid subscriber and have been waiting for months for you to finish the "Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)" that you keep saying is coming soon. Any updates on when this will happen? How hard is it really?

THE SIDEBAR OCCUPIES TOO MUCH SPACE AND IS NOT USEFUL. PLEASE REMOVE IT FROM THE WEB BROWSER INTERFACE.

There is a big gap between the list of emails on the left of the window and the notifications/calendar/tasks/etc. frame on the left. There is real estate loss, which makes the new version visually unappealing. The only thing to like of this new version is the new feature "Schedule Send".
For the money which I am extorted monthly for this service, this is not meeting my expectations.

I really don't need STARRED or CONTACTS or NOTEBOOK or MORE LINKS on the right side of my screen eating up 3 inches of space on my 24 inch monitor. Make that block collapsible so I can actually read my email. - stephen

Please let me read my email without having to scroll left to right. There's no room for the actual email, because all the space is used by the useless "starred/contacts" column, that can't be removed. Customization, please!

Please provide a setting to specify that the right-side panel should always appear minimized, or make this be the default when Yahoo Mail is launched. Right now, it occupies about 1/3 of the window, reducing the size of the From and Subject columns. While it is currently possible to minimize this panel, it's necessary to do this every time I open Yahoo Mail.

Let's address the issue of your new "Right Hand Column". I don't like it, I don't need it, but I can't get rid of it. Yes, on any particular email I have found the convoluted process to minimize it, but as soon as I go to another email, it returns. Sure, you probably consider it to be a great new feature, but, if I can't get rid of it, it's a BUG. And bugs need to be squashed.
