Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

I just want to see my emails listed when I open the inbox. How do I hide the starred and contact box and retrieve it when I want it?

Please give us the option to permanently hide the "Starred" or "Important" panel on the right side of Yahoo Mail. I have no use for it, and it reappears every time I reload my inbox, even after I close it. This clutters my screen unnecessarily.

no interest in having starred emails or contacts take up 1/3 of screen, wish I could delete that view and just have list and email preview

3 different suggestions, that were in the old version of yahoo mail.
From the inbox/messages view
- I can see the left pane, middle and right panes
- I cannot turn off the right pane and its stuck open on contacts or calendar.
- I don't need to see this 3rd pane on the right side of the screen
- Need an option to turn it off completelyFrom the inbox/messages view
- On the left side where the folder list is
- I should be able to collapse the folder view or expand it with one click.Email list view is hard to read due to spacing
- The view of the email messages is hard for me to read due to the spacing
- Need an option to make it look like the original view where the messages are compacted and there is no spacing between messages in the listThanks,
Hargo

Is there a way to turn off the very right side "starred" view thing? I can't find it. Don't need it.

Hi Laura, yes we will be adding this ability at a later time. The ability to minimize the right hand column. Currently, it's only available for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers since there's an ad there. We will share with our team, but it is on the way. Thank you!

There are no indications of where to search for posted ideas, so I was unable to do that. This may be a duplicate.
I am getting used to the new email, but I'm struggling in one area. The Starred panel on the right is taking up too much space. I often split my screen to hold 2 browser windows side by side. The Starred panel doesn't fold away. It just makes the mail space much smaller. Whenever I go to my email now, I get frustrated and look again for a way to get rid of that space hogger. Please consider giving us a way to fold it out of the way.

Suggestion: Please could you consider giving users another option on the "Message Layout" section to remove the "third tile" (where the contacts/starred messages) can be viewed. The message tile is shrunk and requires one to scroll to the right to read the full message (even on a laptop). Or you might want to give the user the option to shrink that third tile. Thank you!

Please add ability to change the layout and claim the screen space currently occupied by the starred messages, etc. widget and hence, widen the mail reader main widget... Thanks!

The most important thing about email is the email message. So why are we forced to have a "starred view" on the right hand side of the screen that takes of valuable screen space without the option to get rid of it? Please add an option to completely hid the right colum with the "starred view" so as much screen space as possible can be given to messages.

Starred email panel should allow to be eliminated. I don't use it. However, because it can't be eliminated I lose 1/3 of my laptop screen. It shows as a big open blank area while trying to use the new email. I opted to use the old interface and eliminate the issue. Unfortunately, I can't use the new features and developments Yahoo mail has created.

Concerning the look of the email page--I know I can expand the size of the email lines and hide the "Starred" section but it isn't permanent. If I close the page--or even just refresh the page it goes back to half of emails and half "Starred". Could you please make it so we can set our preference of hiding the "Starred" section and it would be permanent until we change it (if we want) in Yahoo email settings?
Thank-you. -

ASAP, Get rid of the side bar on the right! Make it an option if someone wants to add it. Annoying!!

Ability to completely get rid of right column. This should be a top priority as it takes so much space that we can't see full preview of mail. Shocking that nobody thought of it before launch!

Would love to be able to hide the "starred view" list, which persistently displays to the right of listed emails (Inbox, Drafts, Sent).
Hiding this view would give me more space to see subjects of the listed emails.
Thoughts?
Thank you, Tim
