Right Side Panel (Contacts, Starred, Etc)
There should be a way to remove the contact box on the right. This feature is useful when two windows (one is yahoomail) are displayed side-by-side. During these situations, window real estate is valuable.

THE SIDEBAR OCCUPIES TOO MUCH SPACE AND IS NOT USEFUL. PLEASE REMOVE IT FROM THE WEB BROWSER INTERFACE.

There is a big gap between the list of emails on the left of the window and the notifications/calendar/tasks/etc. frame on the left. There is real estate loss, which makes the new version visually unappealing. The only thing to like of this new version is the new feature "Schedule Send".
For the money which I am extorted monthly for this service, this is not meeting my expectations.

I really don't need STARRED or CONTACTS or NOTEBOOK or MORE LINKS on the right side of my screen eating up 3 inches of space on my 24 inch monitor. Make that block collapsible so I can actually read my email. - stephen

Please let me read my email without having to scroll left to right. There's no room for the actual email, because all the space is used by the useless "starred/contacts" column, that can't be removed. Customization, please!

Please provide a setting to specify that the right-side panel should always appear minimized, or make this be the default when Yahoo Mail is launched. Right now, it occupies about 1/3 of the window, reducing the size of the From and Subject columns. While it is currently possible to minimize this panel, it's necessary to do this every time I open Yahoo Mail.

Let's address the issue of your new "Right Hand Column". I don't like it, I don't need it, but I can't get rid of it. Yes, on any particular email I have found the convoluted process to minimize it, but as soon as I go to another email, it returns. Sure, you probably consider it to be a great new feature, but, if I can't get rid of it, it's a BUG. And bugs need to be squashed.

every time i leave the new yahoo mail and return I have to minimize the right-side panel that highlights starred emails.
it's a total waste of space for me. I should be able to set the view most effective for me and have it available every time I log in. -

Provide a setting so I can default the right-hand "Starred/Contact" column minimized.
I know that I can manually minimize it, but I'd like not to have to do that every time I open Yahoo Mail. -

Please give USERS the option to either eliminate or minimize the permanently-present mini-window, "Starred / Contacts," on the righthand side of my Inbox window. The Starred information is useless (or at least, never ever used by me) and I need to look at my list of Contacts only rarely (if ever). It adds nothing to the ease of using or accessing anything in my Inbox. Change the configuration to make it OPTIONAL or MINIMIZABLE so it doesn't take up space for something useless.

The contacts tab should be optional to view, I do not need it, and it takes up unnecessary screen space for message views.

Both of these should be hideable. I get a fair amount of messages per day, so something that seems like a waste of space is very annoying. I want to be able to choose to hide the right hand contact/whatever pane as I don't think I'll ever use it.
Also, I have no idea what those "Inbox" rounded buttons that precede every email item in my Unread messages mail list are for. They are also a wate of space in my opinion and I can't work out why I would I need them

Please allow users to collapse the Starred conversations on the right of the screen. It's not always necessary to be in view, and it limits the View of the inbox subject - which is an important 'at a glance' view of your inbox. You are wasting that real estate!

how can you turn off the right-hand column, the one that shows starred emails and contacts. It is annoying and eats up a lot of real estate that would be better used showing the actual emails I am interested in reading.
