I'll give an example of the problem, then a solution. Example. This past week, WR AJ Brown was listed as OUT. So he was put onto my IR and I picked someone off the waiver wire to replace him. All reports are showing that he is likely out a couple weeks. The official injury report for week 3 isn't out yet so yahoo doesn't know what's going to happen. Furthermore, he didn't practice yet, so again, he is still OUT. But for some reason yahoo very often changes the status to "doubtful" which then blocks my ability to use the waiver wire for ANYTHING unless I move AJ Brown back off my IR and drop the replacement player to make room. Then predictably, his status won't change until sunday and he'll be OUT again. This has been happening so much more over the past couple of years. SOLUTION: Yahoo, when a player is listed as OUT, simply do not require them to come off our IR until they are listed as a full participant in practice. If someone is "doubtful" they should still be IR eligible. Seriously, get this right.
