Currently, you can either have players be on waiver at all times or only when dropped.
We would like to have a system similar to fantasy football where players go on waivers for most of the week, but then enter FA on the weekend so that players can set their weekly lineup by Monday.
Right now, if we set continual waivers, we end up with an issue where a late injury or COVID sickness type situation results in a manager potentially not being able to pick up a replacement on Sunday or Monday for their team. We don't want players to be on FA at all time, because then everything becomes a first-come, first-served situation, where a manager who gets to their lineup the soonest after a big injury or similar gets the player.
I think what would make sense is that when the Monday games start, all players go on waivers. They stay on waivers and managers can make waiver claims throughout the week, and then they process on Friday or Saturday and stay FAs until the Monday games start and the cycle repeats.
