Waivers - Allow waiver times to be customizable
Requests to allow commissioners to customize the time of day that waivers process.

I am so confused why you guys aren't allowing locked players to be put into waiver claims for the following day.
If I know for a fact I am only streaming a player for one night and want to drop him the next morning for another player, why can't i put him in a claim to drop him, after his game starts, to be processed the next day? This is assuming he and the player I am picking up are both locked for the night. Why is it that I have to wake up at 3am to get first dibs on a player I know I already want to add? Absolutely insane.Additionally, we cant even change the time for when waivers become available the next day? How absurd. We have members of our league playing from different timezones and so it is completely unfair that claims can not be made in advance. You are giving an advantage to people who have certain schedules. And the fact that these cannot be adjusted is just baffling to me. You guys need to do better. This is my second season playing fantasy basketball with Yahoo and I can't believe you guys don't give these options for waiver transactions.
This would make things more fair for people who want to claim the same player. Why are you rewarding someone who wakes up early? NBA plays until 2am? You expect me to watch all the games and then wake up at 3am to put in a claim?
I am not happy about this lack of consideration.

Would LOVE a set up where FAAB can be used on players that go to waivers nightly (or at the start of their game) kind of like they do in Yahoo fantasy football. After each nightly waiver process, unclaimed players become free-agents. An option that automatically moves all unclaimed free agents into waivers every night, regardless of whether they were previously claimed or dropped, when using FAAB with the standard waiver mode.
I would like to give all managers a fair shot at picking up a desirable player daily, but if they go unclaimed I want them to become free-agents until the next round of daily games start.

Hello, I'd like if there was an option where you could set your waver adds on specific time of the day. Let's say, all players are on waivers, and the game starts at 8 o'clock. There should be an option so we can bid for players before the first game starts. It would make it more friendly for those who aren't awake in the mourning when the waivers clear. And it would be fairer to all.

Hi team! Would like to propose the idea for the commissioner of a fantasy league to be able to change the time of day that the waiver wire processes. Similar to ESPN where we can choose an hour of the day instead of having it always at midnight pacific time. Pretty please, thank you!

Create a second waiver processing time in the later afternoon before games start to account for last second injuries. In the NBA players are often ruled out with no prior warning hours before game day, leaving managers without an available bench player. In other sports like football you could immediately add someone. Basketball needs a way to deal with this.

should be managed by commissioner of each league before league starts.

Is Yahoo tracking this? We've been asking for this (in this very thread) since at least 2022.

I also submitted one for this before I saw this one. Without being able to change the time, it gives certain people a HUGE advantage which is BS since there is often money on the line.

Instead of a 3:00 AM waiver clearance time that ONLY works well for people on Eastern and Central times, allow that time to be modified with Commissioner Tools.
Without being able to modify the time, it leaves people on the West Coast or on Mountain Time at a severe disadvantage since they're still in bed while the East Coast is already up and has access to the wire before the rest of the league. This is unfair especially with money on the line.

3 AM waiver pickup time is a crazy disadvantage for those that live in the east coast. Please fix

The pick up time of 3am needs to change, should be earlier.

I have my waiver period set to 1 day, but they are all taking two days to process. Anyone know how to fix that?

Any update from an admin or dev on this?

I can explain very simply what we are looking for:
1. Weekly locks.
2. Waivers process on Monday (we use Free Agent Budget but irrelevant detail). Meaning you put your bids in Sunday night.
3. AND: players that you added on that Sunday night will be available on Monday for the weekly lock.I don't see why a league would want it any other way. Right now, the system considers those players as NOT available until the FOLLOWING week. This is either implemented wrong (at worst) or extremely limiting (at best).
The only current workaround is to set the waiver day to Sunday, meaning you have to put your bids in Saturday night. On a practical level this is just a bad user experience--this means I have to put my bid in while there's still up to 2 games remaining for a player (especially EST and EU) and a lot can happen in 48 hours with injuries. On a personal level not everyone has the bandwidth to make this kind of analysis on a Saturday night and put bids in.
This may be very closely related to this suggestion here and could potentially fix this problem -> https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/206157-fantasy-basketball/suggestions/45261871-waivers-allow-waiver-times-to-be-customizable#comments
I'll take it one step further (although I don't think the above fix should be delayed for this additional layer): It'd be great to have a setting that allows NBA Fantasy to work similar to some football leagues with its waiver rules and free agency. In my above example, the waiver processing should happen on Monday morning, and then all players should become available for an immediate add from Monday morning until Monday tipoff. Then it switches back to waivers.

this is very critical for non-US users

The default time for this is something like 5 am California time iirc, right after the system completes the daily/weekly stats update. Or maybe it's 3 like others are saying.
This is important because some managers will have an advantage due to different time zones.

This should be on top of your list. Non US players often have to choose between fantasy and sleeping
