this is what you get from big Tech and corporate America in 2023 (and forever else)
1)we are in the driver seat deal with it. **** straight I guess
2)we are constantly changing and adapting to serve our users/customers. really? ha
3)we are betting on a horse and that horse is young, impressionable and controllable. that horse is our finical future.
4)we don't care about middle age or older people. you are not as reachable for advertising. you are not as tech savvy or inclined. you are not our desired demo any longer.

hi-long time Yahoo user including Fantasy Sports. I am quite the champion for Yahoo fantasy sports and do my best to tout it's virtues. I am a very long time and uncommonly serious fantasy sports participant. across many platforms and sites. I 'm utterly disappointed with the decision on message boards. it is a staple of my and others in my league for chatting but more importantly for league vital communications. to run a successful league like I have for a long tenure. upfront and timely full transparency communications have to be made. now that is virtually gone. leaving email or the fantasy app which both are imperfect for these purposes.

besides the fact that you are pushing the fantasy app and not all people will use it or understand it etc. I have a lot of older people who will not want or cannot adapt to this change. for me this is just another dagger in the old vs. new war going on. with yahoo and the like choosing technology and the young generation for bottom e purposes. your betting on the youth to be your future profit not old people. its called progress but is it really? at this point I doubt I will leave Yahoo with all that I have invested into it time and effort wise. but if I get complete mutinies from my membership body I may have to. I understand that whomever reads this from Yahoo. it is not your fault it is a symptom and a a tiny microcosm. of a sad world view by big tech and corporate america. that (in with the new and out with the old) is survival and progress and profit margin. meanwhile I am sure the backbone of Yahoo and Yahoo fantasy sports has always skewed to being older people. ESPN is for kids and Yahoo IMO was a haven for the mature serious minded fantasy participant. well nothing lasts forever take care
