    Amen. There are exactly two options for "Layout" in Settings. No matter which we choose, we get this split screen. It takes up valuable real estate and keeps me from reading certain messages (especially listserv digests) that aren't formatted for such a narrow window. I DON'T NEED TO SEE "STARRED" OR "CONTACTS" AT ALL TIMES. Give us back our space!
