I think the same band of fools has voted this to the top. We might as well have the categories "Doubles by virtue of the fielder losing the ball in the sun", "singles by virtue of the fielder losing the ball in the lights", "batters reaching on dropped third strikes", "batters reaching on catcher interference","baserunners' bases gained on defensive indifference". Seriously, why do you need another category to manage your league? Are you trying to avoid someone gaining an advantage in ratio stats by drafting only relievers? Put in a minimum innings pitched requirement. Trying to prevent someone streaming SP to pick up Ks? Add a maximum weekly transaction limit (and season limit for that matter). Ratio stats are huge in baseball, they have been since the game started, they will be there forever. ERA is probably the best stat that exists for pitchers. Wins and losses are meaningless; they are a team stat. If you amassed 30 wins and win all your games 10-8, does that make you a good pitcher? No, your team bailed you out. If you lose 20 games with an ERA of 1.50, are you a bad pitcher? No, your team's offense stinks. I just want to understand why you think there is a need for this imaginary stat category. And Yahoo, please allow me to vote thrice against ideas that I think deserve no consideration at all. This is eerily reminiscent of NHL fan all-star voting John Scott the the 2016 Game or the 2007 Vote for Rory campaign. If I could understand why, maybe I could go along. I just don't see the point.
