For leagues using H2H scoring, we currently have the option of stat categories for triples alone. Triples occur infrequently enough to not have their own category - it would be a bit too random. You can't 'draft for triples' as even the fastest players do not consistently hit triples on a year to year basis
Without their own category, though, triples are undervalued and a bit of a 'waste.' If a league utilizes hits, doubles, and home runs, a triple ends up having the same value as a single (ignoring the potential for an RBI). There is more value for a runner abruptly stopping at second, yielding a double, than stretching to third for a simple 'hit.'
An existing solution could be to utilize total bases; however, then home runs are worth 4 and duplicative with the 'home runs' category
A better solution would be to add a stat category for doubles plus triples

Over the past couple of seasons, our league has become frustrated with the QS stat as the game of baseball has evolved. We are hoping for the inclusion of a stat we like to call Quality Outing, or QO. A QO is simply any appearance consisting of 4+ IP 0 ER, 5+IP 0-2 ER, or 6+ IP 0-3 ER. Quality Outing takes the QS statistic and expands on it by including the ever increasing number of 4 and 5 innings starts across the league, as well as accounting for long relievers and bulk pitchers that follow openers. We think this stat is a better measuring stick for performance in today's game than QS as the game has shifted towards generally shorter outings for pitchers. We think many other leagues would love this option if given the opportunity to select it. That way for QS fans, it is still an option, but for those wanting to evolve with the game QO is available. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! Really appreciate any feedback!

Hello is it possible to add “2B+3B” as a fantasy baseball roto category?

In the default h2h points fantasy baseball leagues, the best pitcher with less than a week to go in the season is ranked 72 best overall points wise. This is because pitchers have negative points and hitters don't. I think this was done because pitchers only pitch every 5 games, but they are more valuable then most everyday hitters. If you look at fantasy football, the top kickers have more points than most RB and WR currently, but only play a handful of snaps in the game.
Suggestion, there should be a least one negative category for hitters in fantasy baseball like strikeouts. I would also combined the hitting categories 1B, BB and HBP to OB (on base) or RB (reach base) or 1B (one base that includes them all) they all are worth the same amount of points currently.
Thank you for your consideration! -

I wish you would add team Maximum At Bats like you do Maximum Innings for pitchers. the Maximum Games Played setting is frustrating. If a player starts the game on the bench and comes in late in the game as a defensive we get charged for a game. I am not asking for max at bats by position but for the entire team like max innings.

Hi, would be great if we could see the day over day changes in each category, not just overall.
Thanks,

Our league did a custom standings this year where teams played 7 games a week versus an opponent. The awarding of the games was based on the result of total points in the series. If a series loser was within 15% of a winner, they won 3 games. Within 30%, they won 2 games. Within 50%, they won 1 game. This didn’t change the leaderboard that much, but it made the standings look more like actual baseball.

There is already a On Base Percentage Against category (OBPA), but is it possible for you guys to create an OPS Against Category too? (OBPA) ?
Our league is trying to find a category that goes a bit beyond WHIP (which only quantifies the total amount of Walks/Hits) while also taking into account the power of the opposing batters against the pitcher being scored.
Thanks in advance for your consideration!

The batter is not rewarded for getting on base when he gets hit. I think it should count as a walk. You could also make it a negative stat for the pitcher.

Please bring additional scoring categories to the game. Examples: FIP ; K%-BB%/PA (strikout% minus walk% per plate appearances).
There are some avanced metrics that have transitioned from obsucrity to being very mainstream evaluators of players that will provide very meaningful value to fantasy leagues. We have a friends and family league where not everyone is following advanced metrics but some of these "advanced" metrics are not so advanced anymore but just common sense and easily understood.
Please consider bringing these to the game and allow for better league customization. -

Baseball has changed. Wins don't mean what they used to and are harder for starters to reach given how teams use starting pitchers. Make a "Wins + Quality Starts" pitching category, similar to "Saves + Holds," as a way to balance starting pitching with how MLB teams are altering their use of starting pitchers.

This would cause balance in the force. Oh... ... and adding the scoring category would help as well.

There are weak hitting, glove first players on waivers and great two way players. Adding Outs Above Average or another defensive stat would make these players more relevant in fantasy. On the flip side, slugging bat first players would have a statistical deficiency. Like it or not defense is part of the sport and as far as I can see the only defensive stats are errors or fielding percentage that isn’t very indicative of a players fielding value.

Yahoo should add SLG Against as a pitching category because TBA penalizes IPs
