1. #fantasysports API returning persistent 403/401 on roster endpoint since July 24

   I'm the developer of a registered Fantasy Sports API application (Client ID: dj0yJmk9TmtQaVFTZE16NVNEJmQ9WVdrOVJWZDFZMGcwY1c0bWNHbzlNQT09JnM9Y29uc3VtZXJzZWNyZXQmc3Y9MCZ4PTYw). Since July 24, 2026, roster requests (GET /fantasy/v2/team/{team_key}/roster) have been intermittently, then consistently, returning 403 Forbidden (occasionally 401). As of July 28 this is happening on essentially every request, across all 3 linked accounts and all teams.

   This isn't a stale token issue. My logs show a completely fresh access token, issued moments earlier via a successful oauth2/get_token refresh grant (200 OK), being immediately rejected by the roster endpoint. Request volume is very low (roughly 200-250 requests/day across 3 users), well below anything that should trigger rate limiting. I don't see any warning or flag on the app in the Developer Console.

   Affected teams: 469.l.2072.t.12, 469.l.203368.t.5, 469.l.234519.t.1

   Could someone look into whether this Client ID has any restriction in place? Happy to provide more logs/timestamps if useful.

   • Confirmed: fresh OAuth token via full re-consent, correct scope requested, "Fantasy Sports - Read" permission checked and saved, yet still rejected; a different Yahoo API (openid/userinfo) correctly accepts the same token and returns a normal scope-mismatch error, not a blanket rejection — ruling out a token problem.

3. Return to BASIC YAHOO again

   If you decide the new look and feel of Yahoo Mail isn't for you, you may be able to switch back to the basic Yahoo Mail for desktop. If you don't see an option to go back to the old Yahoo Mail, it's no longer available for your account.

   This is a part of your answer regarding my asking for Switch to Basic Yahoo.

   Why isn't the user friendly old BASIC YAHOO available for me ? Explain , and enable me to switch to Basic YAHOO again ! Because of user friendly usage of old Basic Yahoo , I didn't prefer anorther mail so far. If I wouldn't return to Basic Yahoo again , I will re-visit the issue.

   Hello,

   I am the developer of a Yahoo app (App ID: Ui70cQAv) that uses the Yahoo Fantasy Sports API with OAuth 2.0.

   OAuth is working correctly — my app completes the authorization flow, the token exchange returns HTTP 200, and I hold valid access and refresh tokens. However, every call to the Fantasy Sports API is rejected with HTTP 403.

   Example request:
   GET https://fantasysports.yahooapis.com/fantasy/v2/users;use_login=1/games;game_codes=nba

   Response:
   "This application is not authorized to perform this action."

   The app has Fantasy Sports permissions selected, and the redirect URI is https://marginfantasy.com/auth/yahoo/callback. My understanding is that Fantasy API access has to be authorized on Yahoo's side for each application.

   Could you please confirm whether my application needs to be approved for Fantasy Sports API access, and enable it if so? The app (marginfantasy.com) is a read-only dashboard: after a user signs in with Yahoo, it displays that user's own leagues, rosters, and standings back to them. No writes, no posting, no third-party data sharing.

   All your current development staff at Yahoo is either just incompetent or ******** not sure because whoever is coming up with these stupid changes to Yahoo mail should be looking for a new job. Your changes are **** poor programming that looks like a first year college student tried his hand at basic html. The new mail interface is trash.

10. Fantasy basketball player pictures and UI

    Don't know why this has to be said but clearly the team at yahoo has no idea what they're doing. The player pictures have been a part of fantasy basketball since forever and it is a prominent part of the experience. Users feeling like they're really managing this team of players they drafted and added by seeing their headshots/player photos, makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Changes like these, that nobody approves of (and i mean nobody) is the reason I along with many others will be switching from yahoo to other apps like Fantrax. Apps like fantrax will not take away something as simple as player pictures just to keep updating the UI. Also making us swipe multiple times to see the player stats... are we serious. It's almost as if you guys want something to be wrong so that you can bring it back the following year as if you did something that we should applaud you for. Sad and embarrassing.

11. New Yahoo Email Format Problem Selecting Emails to Delete

    I am very disappointed with the new Yahoo email format. Deleting many emails on the list at a time used to be easy. With the classic version, I would check a box on the left then hold down the shift key to scroll down the email list and click an email further down the list. Just those emails would be checked, then I could delete them all by clicking the trash icon. When I tried it with the new Yahoo mail, it selected many emails that I did NOT select and it put checked boxes in front of them all. That is unusable. This new version is really buggy and I am considering using a gmail account instead.

12. Help, I can't get into my email account(s). Multiple email accounts don't show up.

    Your new design format doesn't allow me to get into my other email accounts. There are options to do this, but there are no links to the other email accounts. Help is needed in this new design because it is not working the way the old original email worked.

13. Cannot read a full article without yahoo interrupting my read but reloading because of advertisment pop ups. I suspect.

    May be less advertisement ? But then yahoo would make less money. Maybe a better technical team to fix the reload situation every time an advertisement pops up? Oh, may be beyond techs capabilities. Get better Techs? I guess yahoo needs to figure all this out. Been a yahoo customer for my life time. It’s NOT getting bette, it’s getting WORSE. Do I drop it or persevere? I need to be lesson the iPad /computer anyway because the news is so depressing especially with this depressing political environment we have at the at present.
