I'm giving Yahoo a couple of weeks to figure out its news commentary section. I can't stand the new heart rating system: 1) Bring back the old thumbs up/down rating system or have a broken heart next to the heart, to indicate that the reader does not agree/approve of the content of the comment posted; 2) Link my comments to the story where it was originally posted; 3) Make sure that all your stories have the ability to accept reader feedback; otherwise I will not take your content seriously.
If the following conditions are not met in the coming few weeks, I will look for a new website portal to call my homepage.

Ditto. New format stinks. There is too much competition out there to be pulling stunts like this. Bad dog, Yahoo!

I am for Boycoting everyone who advertizes on Yahoo, if they do not drop this new format causing us to click to go to a new page. Which often after going there, we have to click again or enter a password to go to another page and so on, just to try and read a story. I am sick of this. I am ready to quit using Yahoo to see what is going on in the News!

Switching over to google news. I used to browse the Yahoo for news but am thoroughly disappointed by the new format where I click on an article, I get a 2 sentence summary of the story and then have to click on "read more" which then directs me to another website. "Innovations" like this are a large part of the reason why your revenues have plummeted faster than Wiley Coyote after he holds up the "Yikes" sign.

I've already switched my homepage to Google news because I just hate having to click twice to finish a story. I always started my day by catching up on the news on Yahoo and it was my homepage for over a decade. I gave them one week to clean up this last mess they made and my patience has finally run out.
Yahoo, I'll check back in a couple of months and see if you've improved your homepage or not. Meantime, Google is my new homepage.

I love that there the link to email Yahoo directly is so easy to find- not! What kind of company doesn't want to face customers directly? I'm so sick of seeing new stories on the front page involving child and infant death, and it's escalating by the day. What on earth makes Yahoo think that kind of content is going to draw page views? This is actually the last time I'll ever visit the home page, or any other Yahoo page because the content is dreck, weak and needlessly morbid.

I hate that I have to go through two clicks to get to a story that used to take one click.

I agree with everyone else. Yahoo, this is the worst Yet. As soon as I find a new homepage, I will leave. I have seen many changes over the years but you blew it this time.

Yahoo your website continues to go down the crapper with this new format. I don't get notices when people comment on my posts anymore. I can't easily navigate the news articles anymore. You force us to read storyies on other websites. I can only wonder why you can't find somebody to buy you out

AGREED! i was just ranting about how much i DESPISE roasted.com's total bait and switch clickbait SPAM where you NEVER get the info you clicked for!
i also liked the old top-news scrolling banner.
yahoo news USED TO be an essential start to the day, but now, it's become an annoying waste of time between the PAID (shame on you yahoo for enabling clickbait liars) lying clickbait and dragging annoying stories about people paying traffic tickets in pennies out over a freakin' week! who the eff cares?!

I agree that the old format was much better and the quality of the news stories has become mostly fluff and ads that are meant to look like new stories. I used to really enjoy Yahoo news but I don't like it nearly as much anymore. Poor quality stories and hard to navigate.

I agree. It's ridiculous that few stories are even real news. More and more are click-bait or fake news. Yahoo is becoming more like The Enquirer every day. I've had Yahoo as my homepage since I started using the internet, but am now on the search for a legitimate news source to use as my homepage.

The new format is not user informative at all. Not only can you not scroll through like we used to but when i do bring up an article i'm given the option to read more, so that is two clicks and time wasted to go to another page to read an article that used to only take one click. Come one.

What a dumb idea of having to click on an article twice to read the whole article !

Dumb move Yahoo. Think. Beta test. Research before you wreck a somewhat functional comment section. Bring back the old format.
